Sat outside on a sunny day, perfect for people-watching. The street noise was a bit much, but I didn't mind. Just a nice, simple spot to relax.

Early breakfast spot, opens at 7 AM. Got the standard breakfast set. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, bacon crispy. Coffee was decent. Good for a quick, no-fuss start to the day.

The complimentary chocolate while I waited was a nice touch. My drink came out pretty quick and tasted good. Simple, but they got the little things right.

Upstairs is so cozy with all the bookshelves and natural light. I spent a good hour there just sipping my latte and finishing a slice of their lemon cake. A nice quiet spot to unwind.

The latte was pretty good, smooth with a light caramel note. Probably the best I've had since moving here. The cup was a bit smaller than I expected, though.

This Starbucks on FORUS 6F is a nice quiet spot. I like the wood interior, feels calm. Good for a slow coffee alone. The latte was smooth, just right. A bit pricey, but you pay for the peace.

First time trying their Abekawa mochi with matcha. The matcha flavor was just right, not too bitter. Really liked it!

The anmitsu was pretty good, not too sweet. I liked the soy milk ice cream on top. A soothing way to end a meal, though the portion felt a bit small for the price.

The kuzukiri mochi was smooth and chewy, a nice texture. The sweet potato zenzai was warm. A solid, simple dessert after a business lunch nearby.

The matcha tea and gold-leaf desserts, such as the parfait and kuzukiri, are truly exquisite and presented with beautiful artistry.

The katsu curry here is the main thing. The pork cutlet is crispy on the outside, stays juicy inside. The curry sauce has a deep, savory flavor, not too sweet. Good portion for the price. A solid, no-fuss meal.

The menu here is way more interesting than the usual spots in my neighborhood. I tried the grilled mackerel with yuzu kosho – the fish was cooked just right, skin super crispy. A nice change of pace.

The Hanton rice with fried shrimp was a nice local find. The ketchup base was surprisingly light, and it paired well with a crisp local beer.

Just tried the old fashioned honey and cherry blossom donuts. They were warm and fresh, not heavy or greasy at all. The cherry blossom one had a really light, floral taste.

The hand-drip coffee here is a real treat. I tried the Yemeni beans today. Watching them prepare it so carefully at the counter is half the fun. The selection of origins is impressive.

The kamaage shiratama namafu was a highlight. The texture was just right, soft and chewy. Dipping the warm mochi into the brown sugar syrup and kinako was a simple, satisfying end to the meal. Not too heavy at all.

A local told me about this place. Love the modern vibe and the view of the moat. Perfect for a quiet coffee, even when it's busy.

A nice spot in the Higashi Chaya District. I really liked the part where you smell the three roasted teas before picking one.

The Kaga Bancha tea was nice, served in a little iron pot. Flavor was decent. Had the seasonal cherry blossom cheesecake with it, which was moist and not overly sweet. A pretty good pairing.

Been coming here for years, and the quiet weekday afternoons are still my favorite. Just a pot of tea and some wagashi. It's the one place where I can actually slow down and have a proper conversation.

Perfect for a quick lunch. The place is cozy with nice books and lighting. Ordered the chicken sandwich, came out fast. Good for a quick bite between meetings. 👍
