Posting some pics from Kanazawa. The gold leaf ice cream looks cool, although the gold itself is tasteless. Definitely loved the abundance of nature and traditional buildings. There was also a quaint shop selling yukatas where I made nice small talk with a girl working there. Along the way I bought a nice outfit to go to a summer festival a few day after.
