The Amstel was under a fiver, which was a nice touch. Food was decent, nothing fancy but solid. Service was efficient, got the bill quickly. Good spot for a straightforward meal after work.

I like that they don't auto-add service. You can tip what you feel is right.

Managed to get a table without a booking on a packed night. The menu had some interesting choices. I went for the grilled sea bass – the fillet was incredibly fresh and flaky, cooked just right. Really appreciated that.

The ingredients in the classic dishes tasted really fresh. Portions were generous for a quiet lunch.

The chicken tikka garlic chilli was so good! Just the right amount of garlic and heat. We shared a few plates with friends and it was a great choice for the table. The vibe is relaxed, good for catching up.

Lovely feel inside, really liked the vibe. The tapas/mezze style is perfect for ordering more if you're still peckish. Staff were friendly too.

The ladies' restroom was spotless, which I really appreciate. It's a good sign of how they care about the overall cleanliness. The main bar area looked tidy too during our lunch.

Been a regular for years. The food is always spot on, never lets you down. That's why it's a bit of a favourite in Whitstable for me.

The big breakfast was a solid choice. Everything tasted fresh and properly cooked, the sausages had good flavour. That toast was seriously thick, a real gut-buster. Couldn't finish it all, but no complaints.

Cosy spot with a lovely garden out back. The chairs were comfortable enough for a long, relaxed lunch.

They stayed open late for us during the power cut, which was so kind. The owner made us all a cup of tea while we waited. Really appreciated that.

Nice, relaxed spot. Popped in with a mate for lunch. The modern interior is really chill, not too loud. Good for a casual catch-up.

The set menu is a solid choice for a business lunch. Our waitress handled a couple of dietary requests without any fuss, which was appreciated. Efficient service, got us in and out on schedule.

Popped in for a quick lunch. The staff are genuinely nice, remembered I liked extra chilli oil from last time. Makes a difference. Place was buzzing as usual.

Cosy spot for a post-walk pint. My dog was welcome, which was lovely. The afternoon light through the windows just hit right. Quiet enough to properly unwind.

Oscar and the team are great. Food's always solid. That warm, family feel makes it a go-to spot for me.

Service was genuinely attentive, even on a quiet Tuesday evening. They noticed the little things, like topping up water before I had to ask. Felt properly looked after without any fuss.

Perfect for a quick lunch. Grabbed a coffee and a sandwich, took maybe 5 minutes total. Prices are decent for the high street. Simple spot, does the job when you're in a rush.

That sausage and halloumi baguette is a must-order, the sausage was so tender. The place itself has this great, laid-back vibe with big windows and comfy wooden chairs. Just a really nice spot to sit and enjoy a meal.

The staff here are so lovely. Mo always remembers my name and asks how my week's been. It's a small thing, but it makes popping in for lunch feel so easy and relaxed. A really nice spot.

Been coming here for years. The wooden floors are a nice touch, makes the place feel solid and clean. You don't get that sticky carpet feeling some pubs have. It's a small thing, but it's why I keep coming back.

Had a nice meal here. The staff were really friendly and helpful, which made everything feel relaxed. The food was good, plenty of it too. A comfortable spot for a quiet dinner.

The jollof rice was the star. The spices were just right, not too heavy. It felt like a warm hug on a plate. The whole place had this really calm, unhurried vibe that I loved. Just a perfect little escape.

Great fish and chips, a bit pricier than others nearby but worth it for the quality. Quick lunch spot.

Ifti and Shab were so welcoming. The Chicken Chat Puri was spot on, spices really came through.
