The steak here is seriously good—still think about that first one I had in Cologne. Portion was decent for the price too. Worth the walk from the center.

The duck dish (No. 74) was the highlight—fresh and well-prepared. Prices felt fair for what you get. A crisp white would've paired nicely with it, though.

Decent lunch spot. Portions are fair for what you pay, nothing fancy but solid. The schnitzel was crispy, came out hot. Place gets busy around noon, so don't expect a quiet meal. Fine if you just need something quick and filling without breaking the bank.

The interior is clean, modern, with that Japanese touch. I sat by the window, nice view of the street. The salmon sashimi was fresh, cut thick. Liked that they didn't drown it in sauce. Just a simple meal, nothing fancy. Maybe a bit pricey for the portion, but the quality of the fish made up for it.

Stopped by for a glass and ended up staying longer than planned. Wine list is solid, staff actually knows what they’re talking about. Food menu’s small but what we tried was good. Prices sting a bit, but you’re paying for quality. Place had a nice buzz without being too loud.

Good wine list to match the steak, which was cooked just right. Fries were solid too. Dog-friendly spot with fair prices.

The veggie dumplings were really good, and the tofu dish had a nice texture. Owner came by and offered a complimentary drink, which was a sweet touch. Place felt welcoming, nothing fancy but comfortable. I'd go back for the dumplings again.

Friendly and helpful waitstaff, each plate we ordered was delicious and full of flavour. It was a good option to be able to have a “lighter” dinner being able to choose as many small plates as you wanted,

Big portions and the staff were friendly. Liked the Thai stuff more than the sushi or ramen. Soups were solid.

Stopped by for a drink and ended up staying longer than planned. The place has that lived-in feel, walls covered in FC Köln stuff, even a little goat figure in the window. Owner clearly runs the show himself. Prices are from another era, honestly refreshing. Had a beer and watched the crowd, no rush at all. Not fancy, but it works.

The grilled fish was the highlight. Flaky, smoky, just the right amount of salt. Ate it all before the boat even stopped rocking.

Lamb kebab was fresh and juicy, exactly what I needed. The rice was light, not too oily. Clean spot with soft music in the background.

The Gorgonzola spinach pizza was so good, thin and crispy just how I like it. Took my friends here for a casual catch-up and we all ended up sharing bites of each other's slices. Place got a bit loud later but honestly that just made it feel more lively. Would come back for that pizza again.

Nice spot on Schillplatz, the outdoor seating is lovely. Wiener Schnitzel was solid, service friendly. Dessert ice cream fell a bit flat though.

The salmon nigiri was fresh, decent cut. Fries were unexpectedly solid, crispy. Only cards accepted, no cash. That caught me off guard but whatever. Sushi itself had good flavor, rice was seasoned well. Not the best I've had but fine for a quick stop.

The Malaysian lamb curry was pretty good — asked for extra spicy and it delivered. Rice flour dumplings were decent too. Nice gin selection with tonics on the side. Service was friendly.

Stopped here on the way through and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh, no complaints there. I had a glass of local red with my meal, decent pour and it paired nicely with the pork. Service was friendly enough, nothing over the top. A solid spot if you're passing by and need a proper sit-down meal.

Stopped by for a late lunch, place had that nice rustic feel. We grabbed the Balkan platter to share – plenty for two, honestly. The fries were properly crispy, salad had a good crunch. Service was attentive without hovering. Only thing, it got a bit noisy when the crowd came in. Solid spot if you're in the area.

Came here with four friends for lunch. Chicken soup with veggies and thick noodles was the highlight — proper comfort food. One drink got mixed up but the staff handled it quickly. Prices are okay, not cheap but fair for what you get. Solid spot if you're in the area.

The pasta was really well made and the sauces had some thought put into them. Portions are a bit small though, so keep that in mind. Fair for what you pay.

The menu had some spicy options I don’t usually see around here. That alone made it worth checking out. Place felt cozy too, like a proper break from the daily grind. Nothing fancy, but I left satisfied. Maybe not the most mind-blowing meal, but I’d come back if I’m in the area again.

We sat outside on the terrace, even though it was a bit chilly. They had heaters, which helped. I ordered the grilled fish with vegetables. The fish was fresh, flaky, not overcooked. That's the main thing for me. The side salad was crisp too. Service was fine, friendly enough. A solid choice if you're in the area and want something simple.

Stopped by for the schnitzel special. Solid portion for the price, though the sauce was a bit much on the side. Lunch menu has options for most budgets. Place was quiet when I went, so no complaints there. Would eat here again if I'm in the area.

Good food with a real kick—just say how spicy you want it. Friendly staff found us a table even when it was packed. Noodles were meh though.

The wild garlic risotto with red mullet was really good. Seasonal menu keeps things interesting. Place is small though, tables packed pretty tight. Could hear the people next to us the whole time. Still, food made up for it. My go-to in Nippes for sure.

The goose and duck were really good, probably the best I've had in a while. We went for a birthday dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. The meat was tender and full of flavor. Service was friendly too, which I always appreciate. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but it didn't ruin the meal.
