The owners treat you like you're just stopping by their place. Food is simple but full of flavor, the kind that makes you slow down a bit. I sat near the window and the natural light made everything feel softer. Only thing is the chairs aren't super comfy for a long sit, but I didn't really mind.

Stopped by for a late lunch, place was pretty chill. Had the lentil curry soup and a tofu schnitzel sandwich. Soup was decent, warming. Sandwich was okay, bread a bit dry. Apple strudel for dessert was the best part, not too sweet. Fine for a quick bite if you're in the area.

Croatian and German classics near Phantasialand. Staff really knew their allergens. One cordon bleu came out a bit raw though.

The buffet spread is massive for the price. Got my money's worth easily. Place was clean and staff kept clearing plates fast.

Stopped by for lunch during the Christmas market season. Chestnut soup was solid, pulled goose burger worked well too. Place was busy but we got seated fast. Service efficient, no complaints there. Prices fair for what you get. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Came here with 16 colleagues for a work dinner. Food was solid, nothing fancy, but the service handled the group size well. Plates came out in decent time, no one had to chase anyone down. For a big table that's usually where it falls apart. Good enough for what we needed.Location was easy to find too.

The steak was spot on, and the burger held its own too. Service was quick even though we showed up late — that surprised me.

The staff kept our glasses full the whole afternoon, which I appreciated. They also took time to explain a few dishes when we couldn’t decide. The all-inclusive drinks option felt worth it for sure. Just a heads up, it gets a bit loud near the bar area, so if you want a quieter chat, ask for a table further back.

The seasonal risotto was solid, service attentive. Gets loud on weekends, but that's expected.

The waiter really knew his stuff—helped my dad pick something mild since he’d never tried Thai food. Everything came out quick and tasted fresh. Nice spot.

Decent spot for a quick Asian bite. Lots of options on the menu. Seating area got a bit chaotic with people coming and going, but the food itself was fine.

The staff helped us figure out the German-only menu, which was a lifesaver. Veal schnitzel was solid, big portion for the price. Apple strudel was fine, nothing crazy. I'd come back for the schnitzel alone, just wish they had an English menu to save the hassle.

Loved the tapas-style setup. Got to try a bunch of stuff without over-ordering. Curry had that southern Thai kick. Solid spot.

Came here on a random evening, sat outside on the boat deck. View of the Rhine was nice, especially as it got darker. Had a schnitzel and a beer — pretty solid. Pizza on the menu too, which looked decent. Service was a bit slow but fine if you're not in a rush.

Great spot to hang out with friends, the burger was solid but the bun came cold. Free refills saved the day though 😅 Fair prices for what you get.

The staff pointed me to a rice and salmon plate that hit the spot. Friendly folks, no fuss. Food came out quick enough. Place was a bit cramped but fine for a solo lunch. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.

Big portions and the staff were friendly. Liked the Thai stuff more than the sushi or ramen. Soups were solid.

Stopped by for a drink and ended up staying longer than planned. The place has that lived-in feel, walls covered in FC Köln stuff, even a little goat figure in the window. Owner clearly runs the show himself. Prices are from another era, honestly refreshing. Had a beer and watched the crowd, no rush at all. Not fancy, but it works.

The Gorgonzola spinach pizza was so good, thin and crispy just how I like it. Took my friends here for a casual catch-up and we all ended up sharing bites of each other's slices. Place got a bit loud later but honestly that just made it feel more lively. Would come back for that pizza again.

Nice spot on Schillplatz, the outdoor seating is lovely. Wiener Schnitzel was solid, service friendly. Dessert ice cream fell a bit flat though.

Stopped by for a late lunch, place had that nice rustic feel. We grabbed the Balkan platter to share – plenty for two, honestly. The fries were properly crispy, salad had a good crunch. Service was attentive without hovering. Only thing, it got a bit noisy when the crowd came in. Solid spot if you're in the area.

Came here with four friends for lunch. Chicken soup with veggies and thick noodles was the highlight — proper comfort food. One drink got mixed up but the staff handled it quickly. Prices are okay, not cheap but fair for what you get. Solid spot if you're in the area.

The menu had some spicy options I don’t usually see around here. That alone made it worth checking out. Place felt cozy too, like a proper break from the daily grind. Nothing fancy, but I left satisfied. Maybe not the most mind-blowing meal, but I’d come back if I’m in the area again.

We sat outside on the terrace, even though it was a bit chilly. They had heaters, which helped. I ordered the grilled fish with vegetables. The fish was fresh, flaky, not overcooked. That's the main thing for me. The side salad was crisp too. Service was fine, friendly enough. A solid choice if you're in the area and want something simple.

Good food with a real kick—just say how spicy you want it. Friendly staff found us a table even when it was packed. Noodles were meh though.

The wild garlic risotto with red mullet was really good. Seasonal menu keeps things interesting. Place is small though, tables packed pretty tight. Could hear the people next to us the whole time. Still, food made up for it. My go-to in Nippes for sure.
