The place just feels so cosy and welcoming. Staff are lovely and really know their stuff - they suggested a dish I'd never have ordered myself and it was spot on.

Love that it's BYOB! Popped over to the shop opposite for a bottle. Their non-alcoholic options are fab too - my friend who's not drinking had a great mocktail. Perfect for a casual catch-up.

Service was quick even on a busy Saturday. Staff were attentive, didn't feel rushed at all. Made for a nice, relaxed meal.

The haddock and chips were spot on—really light batter and those chunky chips were so good. A proper cosy spot with the open fire too.

Service is always friendly and quick, even when they're slammed. Got my order in and out fast, perfect for a quick lunch. Staff remembered my usual, nice touch.

Tried their festive turkey sandwich for the first time. The poached eggs were runny just right, and the avocado was super fresh. Cleaned my plate, so that says it all. A solid lunch spot.

Nice, spacious spot. The waitress was friendly and took a moment to chat, which was a nice touch. Good selection on the menu too.

Came here twice on a short trip. The mix tandoori was so good, we had to order it again. Service was quick and the staff made us feel very welcome. A really comfortable spot to relax over a meal.

A handy spot just off the motorway, next to a Premier Inn. Decent for a straightforward meal when you don't fancy driving any further. The pasta was pretty good, though the sauce was a touch heavy for me. Fine for what it is.

Got caught in the rain, so we ducked in here. The staff were nice and opened up a section for us. Food took a while, but it was decent pub food. Heard the beer is good, which is a plus.

The vegan fish and chips are really good. The staff were so friendly, which made the whole visit very comfortable.

Dog-friendly spot with board games. The pizzas looked huge and tasty, even though I didn't order one.

Really nice meal, everything looked lovely on the plate. The staff were so pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It's the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy your dinner.

Nice spot if you're bringing a dog. They handled our big group with several pets pretty well. The outdoor area was fine for them. Food was decent, though a bit on the pricey side.

Had the Sunday roast here. The beef portion was huge, honestly couldn't finish it all. They boxed up the leftovers for us, which was a nice touch. For the price, you definitely get a lot.

The bottomless pizza deal is a steal. Slices are massive, and the staff kept my plate topped up without me even asking. Felt like a proper feast without the usual rush.

The steak pie was the highlight for me. The pastry was perfectly flaky and the filling was so rich and tender. Couldn't get enough of it!

Staff are friendly, owner often cooks himself. He accommodated a last-minute request to adjust a dish's spice level, which was appreciated. Service was responsive without being intrusive. A solid, no-fuss experience.

What an amazing little country pub, restaurant and hotel with beautiful views, varied and traditional home cooked food and very comfortable room. Would highly recommend.

Mixed grill was spot on. Steak tender, chips hot and crispy. Quick service too - got my order in and out within the lunch hour. Solid value for the quality.

The staff here are so lovely. They always take a moment to chat, which makes the whole experience feel really relaxed. It's a nice change of pace.

The duck was lovely and crispy, and the plum sauce really complemented it. Fresh ingredients make all the difference.
