The cod was fresh and flaky, the batter crisp. Chips were proper, not greasy. Service was spot-on and genuinely friendly. It&rsquo;s a proper local pub, full of families making a nice buzz. A solid meal.

Arrived an hour early, no problem food lovely sea bass was fresh and plenty of it. steak cooked to perfection my husband ordered it medium rare and that is how it came. A lot of places he orders medium rare and it comes well done. Nothing too much trouble with the service. Altogether a very pleasurable experience

Stayed a night, very comfortable. Clean room, great shower, bed was perfect. The included breakfast was excellent, and they had a decent selection of local craft beers to go with it, which was a nice touch.
