The chef really knows his stuff for gluten-free. Took the time to walk me through the whole menu, even knew where they source the ingredients. Most dishes can be made GF. Food was spot on, and the garden&#39;s a nice spot on a sunny day.

Came with a big group, a few of us have dietary needs. The staff handled it really well, no fuss at all. The pasta was the standout - my mushroom tagliatelle was cooked just right, really flavourful. Made the evening easy.

Popped in for a quick pint and ended up staying for dinner. The steak and ale pie was proper comfort food - rich gravy and really tender beef. Just what you need on a damp evening.

Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding was solid, generous portions. The vegan nut roast is a decent option too. Service was efficient, got us in and out for a business lunch.

No food served, but they&#39;re fine with you bringing in takeaway from nearby spots. Good for a quick pint after work if you&#39;ve already grabbed a bite. The location is the main draw.

A proper cosy pub, this. The owner&#39;s a friendly chap - he was happy for us to bring in pasties from the bakery down the road. Sat outside with a pint and a pasty, just what you need.

Visited the Salumi restaurant on Sunday the 30th. To celebrate two major events of that date. Firstly my 73rd birthday and my  sons 11th Wedding Anniversary. The restaurant from the outside looks deceptive regarding its size. Though once inside the welcoming atmosphere and decor were totally delightful. The seating areas were spacious and the seats were very comfortable chairs. All the staff were friendly, polite, respectful and helpful and a credit to their profession. There were good varied choices on the menu. From which I chose the Sunday roast Turkey and Honey with all the trimmings and was totally delicious, and I enjoyed the brilliantly cooked food a lot. The best I have ever tasted in any restaurant.It was seriously that good. I was  very impressed when the ordered food was delivered to our table, and the waiter that served us described every food item being served per plate per individual. NEVER had that done before, and it made one feel special somehow, but nice. It was a really nice additional touch to a perfect meal. The portions were generously large and well presented. The prices were more than reasonable and all 8 of us were well catered. Nothing was too much trouble for the brilliant staff at the Salumi. We all enjoyed our meals. I can&#39;t praise this restaurant or it&#39;s staff high enough. I highly recommend this restaurant ladies and Gents. Well worth a visit. The best was at the end. As being the birthday boy, I was given a FREEBI dish of sorbet ice cream and chocolate cake slice. My wife and I will definately be paying the Salumi restaurant another visit for sure.

The full breakfast was solid, and they were flexible with substitutions. Chunky chips were a highlight. Good value for the portion size.

Sam the barman was so welcoming. What really stood out for me was the fresh ingredients in the mocktail he suggested. You could taste the quality in every sip, which is exactly what I look for. A very comfortable spot to unwind.

Stayed in a spacious room for a night. The historic, quirky layout is charming. Breakfast was good, but the real highlight was the wine list &ndash; found a lovely local red that paired perfectly with the evening. Staff were friendly about suggestions.
