The pay-by-weight setup works well here. You can grab a little or a lot, and the price stays fair either way. I had a decent portion with a glass of their house red, which paired nicely with the savory stuff. Not a bad stop if you're in the area and want something quick without overpaying.

Lovely old inn with that proper cozy feel. We sat by the window and the light was just right. Food was good, nothing fancy, but the vibe made it. Bit of a walk from the car park though.

The leek soup was solid, and the pork tenderloin paired nicely with a glass of red. Walked in without a booking, lucky to get seated.

Stopped here after a hike, pretty solid choice. Got the salad with my meal, fresh stuff, not the usual sad side salad. Ingredients tasted high quality. Place was a bit busy but fine. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Solid German food right in Deggendorf's center. Had the pork with dumplings, portion was big enough that I skipped dessert. Place was busy for a Tuesday night, which says something. Service kept it simple, no fuss, just got the job done. Not fancy, but you know what you're getting. Fine if you want a proper meal without overthinking it.

The wood-fired pizza was really good. Crust had that perfect char, toppings fresh. Easily the best I've had in Deggendorf so far. Place was pretty busy though, took a while to get the bill. But the pizza itself, yeah, worth it.

I had a lovely breakfast experience here. The waitresses were very nice and attentive, and the food was good. It's a nice place to start the day!

The vine-covered courtyard is really something — felt like sitting in a little hidden oasis. Schnitzel was solid, potato salad too. Just a bit out of the way, but that's fine.

The Schweinshaxe during their special period was really good. Crispy skin, tender meat, exactly what you want from a Bavarian place. I went in summer once and it was packed with tourists, but coming back in winter felt completely different. Way more locals, relaxed atmosphere. Food stayed consistent though.

Tucked away in a courtyard, took me a minute to find it. Bathrooms were clean, and it stayed quiet even when busy. Good spot.

Stopped by for a late lunch — the Wiener Schnitzel was spot on. Crispy, not greasy, and the meat was tender. Had a Stiegl with it, went down easy. They even brought water for our dog without us asking. Place was busy but we got a table quick. Solid spot if you're in the area.

Been coming here for years - that coal-fired oven makes all the difference. Pasta was cooked right again, staff still friendly. Consistent, which is why I keep going back.

Nice view of the Danube from the terrace. Venison goulash was solid, schnitzel decent too. Service a bit hit or miss though.

The staff here were really helpful when my Spanish friends came to visit. They took the time to explain the menu in English without making us feel rushed. Food was solid, nothing fancy but cooked well. Place gets busy around 7 so come a bit earlier if you want a quiet table.

Been coming here for years now. Anna still remembers my usual order - that says a lot. The tagliatelle al ragù is as good as the first time I tried it. Sauce rich, pasta fresh. Place gets busy on weekends, so expect a bit of a wait. But it's consistent, and that's why I keep coming back.

Decent little spot. Burger was pretty good, sweet potato fries came out nice and crispy. Service was friendly, didn't have to wait long. Place has a relaxed vibe, nothing fancy but fine for a casual meal. Maybe a bit warm inside, but not a big deal.

The liver dumpling soup and crispy pork were solid. Owner Walter runs the place well. Smaller portions available, good for a light meal.

The vegetarian options are decent, and the menu mixes Italian and Croatian dishes which is a nice change. Parking was easy to find, which I appreciated. I had a pasta dish that was fine, nothing mind-blowing, but the flavors were solid. Service was a bit slow, but they were busy. Would probably come back if I'm in the area again.

The lighting in there is just right — warm without feeling dim. Food was solid, creative plates. Service kept it easy. Nice spot before it turns into a club later.

Food was solid and portions are huge for the price. Staff friendly enough, place has a chill vibe. Just expect a wait if you show up without a booking.

Charming staff, solid Italian wine list. The pasta tasted properly homemade. Place has a relaxed vibe, easy to linger over a bottle. Service was attentive without hovering.

Been coming here for a while now. Pizza and pasta are consistently good, never had a bad meal. Gets busy so service slows down, but that's fine if you're not in a hurry.

Solid multi-course dinner, venison meatball was the highlight. Wine pairing worked well. Service efficient, no complaints. Good spot if you're in the Bavarian Forest area.

Nice spot for a quick lunch. Pho with beef fillet was solid, broth had good flavor. Portion size was decent for the price. Vaulted cellar with lanterns makes it feel different. Service was fast enough.

The food here is really fresh. I had the stir-fried vegetables and they still had that nice crunch, not soggy at all. Portions are decent for the price. Place is pretty basic inside, nothing fancy, but I didn't mind. Just wish they had a few more healthy options on the menu. Would come back for the veggie dishes.

Came on a Saturday night, place was buzzing. Tables are tight, but the food made up for it. Had the schnitzel, pretty solid.

The grilled chicken was really fresh, came right off the fire. Juicy, good flavor. I liked that it didn't feel heavy. Service was quick, price was okay for what you got. A decent spot if you're in the area and want something simple. Maybe not a destination place, but fine for a casual lunch.

We stopped by for dinner and grabbed a table outside. Pizza was solid, crust had a good chew. Tagliatelle was decent too, though the sauce could’ve used a bit more salt. Tiramisu saved the night, really creamy. Place got busy fast, so booking ahead makes sense. Fine for a casual meal, nothing fancy.

Lovely spot right on the riverbank. Their homemade cakes are fantastic, and the wine selection surprised me. Staff was friendly too.

The landlady really takes care of her food, you can taste it. Homemade cakes were a nice touch. Cozy and quiet, warm welcome.
