TheForkUserThe sea urchin emulsion was amazing, great wine suggestion from the sommelier (Nat Cool) and a rum pairing for the dessert. Only downside was the bad acoustics in the restaurant, had to raise my voice for the conversation.
_TI***dcThe restaurant offers an elegant atmosphere with first-class service, making it a delightful dining experience. The food quality is impressive, showcasing balanced flavors and skillful preparation.
TheForkUserWhat a fabulous place! Service was excellent and so welcoming, food amazing! Cannot believe or wasn’t full to the rafters as it certainly deserves to be. Go and try it, you will not be disappointed
TheForkUserExtremely salty food. After being asked how it was I was honest and all the waiter done was turn the back and go back to the till area.Overall cheap, but awful flavour. We’ve requested a sangria and it didn’t even had any fruit.I’d avoid going here if you want a decent experience.
_TI***gwA lovely little place with fantastic food! The skewered beef was tender and cooked perfectly, and the atmosphere was very comfortable.
TheForkUserThis restaurant was very classy with a delightful amusee bouche to start with I had tomato soup served over a poached egg from a current it was rich and fresh followed by the beef Wellington beautifully presented and for desert the falsetto creme brulee . The service was immaculate overseen by the delightful head waiter Manuel Santos. In short the best meal have had so far with a wine list to suit every taste and pocket.
_TI***47The gluten-free options here are impressive, with a decent three-course set menu at a reasonable price. A great choice for those with dietary restrictions!
_TI***ewI had a fantastic dinner with authentic Italian food, and the service was excellent.
_TI***l9Craving for seafood. Oh yes it’s one of the best seafood platter I have ever had. Alberto was so friendly and the flavour was amazing in food. Will definitely come back.
TheForkUserFirst impressions should not deter. It’s a lovely friendly restaurant with well cooked and well priced local food. Yes, it’s part of a shopping centre but looks out directly onto the ocean and is very clean and well presented. A simple menu done well. Would recommend booking.
TheForkUserA madeira pizza, I've eaten worse pizzas in Italy. Promoted.
_TI***gyWe enjoyed a lovely evening meal with garlicky limpets and octopus, paired with a nice glass of vino verde. The waiters were very entertaining!
TheForkUserSpecial dishes we wanted from menu online were only available to order in advance so left aftevr 2 half glasses of water for 3 50.
TheForkUserWe were late to arrive because someone was sick. They were so accomodating keeping the kitchen open on a Monday. Then....the food was so great. From the Fresh Bread to delicious Fish Soup to amzing Fish entree, it seemed they could do no wrong. Do not - miss this restaurant. It was a Highlight of our Trip.
TheForkUserAmazing local restaurant, simple food done well. My husband had spaghetti bolognaise and I had seafood spaghetti, both excellent.
TheForkUserAlthough not easy to find, the food was delicious, the atmosphere welcoming and the all female staff were really lovely.
_TI***nwThe service here is exceptional, with attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!
TheForkUserHad read good things about this place and was not disappointed. I chose to have garlic bread which arrived in a paper bag - warm and tasty. The scabbard and passion fruit sauce was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. This is a very well run establishment. It's essential that you book especially if you wish to dine al fresco.
TheForkUserWe've been dining at Dona Amelia for several years and it has never disappointed. The food and service are at a very high standard and the prices very reasonable.
TheForkUserI booked the restaurant because it was recommended in my guide and I am glad I did. Despite being busy, the service was very quick, and they even offered us a little Thai soup when our samosas took longer than expected. The food smelled and tasted absolutely delicious. Highly recommend but make sure you book a table as it was full.
TheForkUserThe food and staff were amazing, as always. However some of the customers let them down, there was a child on the table next to us, around 2 years old with a phone on watching something on full volume and a woman opposite us on a FaceTime call for the whole duration. If you’re going to bring your kids with a phone or tablet, please provide them with headphones, if you want to make a FaceTime call, wait until you get home or go outside!! These people have no regard for the other customers.
TheForkUserI booked this bistro based on the reviews and what a delight! We shared the shrimp, which was recommended, for starters, followed by the fish of the day - tuna and cod with onions, a tomato rice (very yummy) and salad as sides. Everything was very tasty, amazing! Staff very friendly and spoke great English.
TheForkUserVery pleasant experience. The food was first class and the staff were most attentive but more importantly pleasant and fun. Thank you all. I will return soon ????
