The picado here is a solid plate &mdash; plenty of meat, fries, rice, the works. I got full halfway through and still kept eating because it tasted that good. House wine was cheap too, which surprised me. Place is basic, nothing fancy, but honestly who cares when the food hits like this. Busy with locals, always a good sign.

Lovely outdoor seating, really cozy for a relaxed dinner. Staff were friendly too. My salad was fresh, though I wish they&#39;d offered a bit more variety in the greens.

The bruschetta on that Madeira bread was really good. Pizza came loaded with toppings too. Service was quick, no complaints.

Stopped by for lunch after seeing the lava pools &mdash; got a window seat, which made it. Food was decent, well-prepared, nothing fancy but solid. Service was polite and quick. Toilets were clean, which was a nice surprise. Only thing is it&#39;s a bit touristy, but that&#39;s expected. Fine spot if you&#39;re already there.

Came in on a quiet afternoon, owner was super chill and talked with us while the food got made. He suggested a local white wine &mdash; good pick, didn&#39;t cost much either. Octopus with potatoes was solid, well cooked. Place felt genuine, not touristy at all. Would go back if I&#39;m in the area again.

Came back here again last time I was in Madeira. Marcelino still running the place, still singing karaoke mid-service. Espetada was as good as I remembered, meat cooked right. Homemade wine does the job too. Place gets busy so you might wait a bit, but that&#39;s fine. Consistent, that&#39;s why I keep coming.

Came here twice while we were staying nearby. The tempura shrimp appetizer was the standout&mdash;haven&#39;t found that anywhere else on the island. Prices are fair for what you get. Just wish the seating area was a bit more comfortable, the chairs got old after a while.

What a fabulous place! Service was excellent and so welcoming, food amazing! Cannot believe or wasn&rsquo;t full to the rafters as it certainly deserves to be. Go and try it, you will not be disappointed

Extremely salty food. After being asked how it was I was honest and all the waiter done was turn the back and go back to the till area.Overall cheap, but awful flavour.We&rsquo;ve requested a sangria and it didn&rsquo;t even had any fruit.I&rsquo;d avoid going here if you want a decent experience.

We visit this restaurant every time we come to Madeira. It&rsquo;s truly excellent. The food is exceptional, wonderful attentive service and it&rsquo;s also very good value for money. It seems to be enjoyed by mainly local people( which tells you everything).

A lovely little place with fantastic food! The skewered beef was tender and cooked perfectly, and the atmosphere was very comfortable.

The black scabbardfish with banana was spot on, but my tuna came out overcooked. They swapped it and it was still dry. Place has potential though, and they handled the feedback fine.

Stopped by for a quick drink and ended up staying longer than planned. The poncha was properly strong, not the watered-down tourist version. Bartender knew what he was doing. Prices felt fair for the area. Place has that real local vibe, nothing fancy but comfortable. Wish they had a bit more seating though, got busy around 10pm.

The octopus done a few different ways&mdash;grilled, confit, that sort of thing. All of it tasty, especially for the price. A nice glass of white wine on the side made it even better.

Stumbled in without expectations. Got a solid home-cooked meal, big portions, fair price. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.
