The lamb with berbere sauce was really good, tender and spicy. Fit-Fit was decent too, nice for a change. Only thing—takeout box leaked a bit on the way home. Minor, but kinda annoying. Still, I'd grab it again.

Lovely little café with a nice outdoor seating area. The Bicerin coffee blend is really unique—haven't come across it anywhere else in Mainz. Service was friendly and easygoing.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Got the pasta and a glass of wine. Food came out fast, which I appreciated. Flavors were solid, nothing crazy but satisfying. Price was a bit high for what you get, but the quality is there. Good spot if you need a decent meal without wasting time.

The calamari were honestly the standout—super tender, not rubbery at all. Baked potatoes came out crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. Portion size was generous for the price, which surprised me. Place was a bit busy when I went, but the food made up for it. Would grab that calamari again.

The grilled fish was really fresh, and the place has that casual sports bar energy. Just expect a bit of a wait when it gets busy.

Stopped by for a late lunch. Place has a nice, relaxed feel and the interior is prettier than expected from the outside. Service was friendly, took time to explain a few dishes. Had the schnitzel, it was decent. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid. Portion was fine for the price. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.

The homemade-style dishes were the highlight — that whipped garlic cream with the meat was so good. Service was friendly but drinks took a while, and a couple on the menu weren’t available.

The interior is genuinely nice — high ceilings, good lighting, not too cramped. I had the pad thai and it was decent, though it leans more western than authentic. Fine for what it is. Just wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable, my back started hurting after an hour. Would come back for the vibe, maybe not for a long sit.

Cozy enough, but the espresso machine gets loud when it’s busy. Staff were friendly though. Prices felt fair for what you get.

The vegan burger here is seriously good—loaded with cheese and that smoky patty. I grabbed a glass of their house red to go with it, worked better than I expected. Place was busy but not chaotic. Would come back for that burger alone.

The cappuccino was solid and the omelette came out fresh, made right in front of us. Liked the homemade marmalade on the side. Service kept it simple, no hovering.

Decent spot for breakfast or just coffee and cake. Sat outside, nice view of the market square. Pretty good for a quick stop.

Shrimp starter was really good. Fresh, spicy, nice kick to it. Tried the clams with pork too — interesting combo, pretty tasty, though the pork was a bit chewy. Portions are big, I couldn't finish everything. Fine for the price honestly.

Cozy spot with high ceilings — loved the vibe for hanging out with friends. Service was super friendly too 😊

I highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent gluten-free options. The pizza was crispy and delicious, perfect for anyone with dietary restrictions.

Stopped by for lunch, sat outside. Pasta was fresh, really good. Salad too. Service fine, not in your face. Just a solid meal on the terrace. Nothing fancy, but it worked.

The cordon bleu schnitzel with pepper sauce was solid and portions are huge. Just bring cash, no card payment. 🍽️

We stopped by for a late lunch on a rainy day. The Handkäs with music was solid, exactly what I wanted. But honestly, the portion felt a bit small for 12 euros. I get that it's a classic place, but I left still a little hungry. The wine was good though, so I didn't mind too much. Just don't come starving.

This restaurant is part of the old town and close to the Rhein. It has a vibrant vibe. Customers can dine outside or inside. We chose to eat inside as rain threatened. Service was prompt and efficient. The food menu is sufficient for this type of pub / cocktail bar / bistro. The quality of the food was excellent. It was accompanied by fine wine at reasonable prices. The combination of good food and drink and a lively atmosphere would make me want to return.

The flammkuchen were huge — easily shareable. Loved the cozy vibe, though tables get a bit tight when it's packed. Solid for a casual dinner.

The breakfast buffet here is solid — lots of fresh fruit and veggies, which I always look for. Price changes by day, but the spread is generous. Just wish the eggs were a bit warmer.

Walked in for dinner and the place looks way fancier than the price suggests. Staff was friendly, not pushy. Had the kadhai paneer — proper desi taste, garam masala came through nicely. Asked for extra spice and they got it right. Solid spot if you're craving something with actual flavor.

Tucked away in the old town, cozy vibe. Food looked great, the unique dishes really stood out. Service was friendly, no complaints there. Solid spot if you're nearby.

The owner still remembers everyone’s name—that says a lot. Gyros were solid, tzatziki fresh. House wine did the job, nothing fancy but paired well with the meal.

I’ve ordered from here a few times now, and the vegetarian options are pretty solid. The daal makhani was delicious and arrived hot. Some of the paneer dishes leaned a bit sweet rather than spicy, even when I asked for heat. Still, it’s a good choice for Indian food in Mainz.

Coffee was solid, bagels decent too. Staff helped me find a quiet corner for a quick video call, which saved me. Place gets busy around noon, but service stays quick. Fair price for the area.

Stopped here on a whim and grabbed the Montreal-style poutine. Really solid—cheese curds were squeaky and the gravy had a nice kick. Not the most traditional but a fun twist. I’d come back if I’m in the area again.

Very solid traditional German food and the place is family-friendly without being chaotic. Atmosphere felt relaxed, easy to just sit and eat.

The sushi was decent — fresh enough for Germany, and the rice had good seasoning. Portions are generous for what you pay. Fine spot if you need a quick, affordable fix. Mine took a bit longer than expected, but it was a busy evening.
