Solid food, nice staff. Place has been here since 1885, you can feel that walking in. Warm vibe, busy with locals. Nothing fancy but it works. Maybe a bit crowded but that's part of the charm.

Stopped by for a glass of wine in the Altstadt. Place has a solid selection, staff was friendly without hovering. Sat outside, nice people-watching spot. Prices are a bit on the higher side but you're paying for the location. Nothing fancy, just a decent spot to unwind for an hour.

Came here with friends while exploring Mainz and the smoked salmon ravioli really stood out. Pork chop was solid too. Service kept it easygoing. Nice spot if you're hanging out with people. 🙂

Been coming here for a while now. Butter chicken stays consistent, which is honestly why I keep going back. Service can be a bit slow sometimes, but the food makes up for it.

The sushi here is seriously fresh, like melt-in-your-mouth fresh. I tried the salmon nigiri and it was a cut above most places in Mainz. Kind of wish I'd ordered more, honestly. The wasabi had a nice kick too. Definitely my new go-to spot when I'm craving Japanese.

The view from the dining room is lovely, and the food’s been solid every time I’ve visited. You can tell the team actually cares about what they’re doing.

The vegetarian banh mi surprised me—rice tofu ball had real flavor, not the usual bland stuff. Baguette was fresh too. Just mind the 10€ minimum for card payment.

The vegan pizza options are a solid plus. It's a tiny spot, mostly takeaway, but the staff were friendly and the slices are generous. Unusual toppings too.

Nice spot, breakfast was fresh and the coffee did its job. Prices were fair for what you got, not cheap but not a rip-off either.

The garden seating was really nice for a summer dinner. Staff took time to explain the menu, which I appreciated. Smoked tuna tartare was the highlight.

The mushroom risotto was the only thing I cared about here. Creamy, properly cooked rice, not the usual soggy mess. Portion size is decent for the price. Couldn't tell you anything about the service or the terrace, didn't pay attention. Just ate and left. Would order that risotto again though.

Been coming here for a while now, and the steak never disappoints. Cooked just right, seasoned well. Sides are solid too, salad had a nice dressing. Good spot if you're in the area and want a reliable meal.

The tasting menu was solid, but honestly, for the price I expected a bit more. The langoustine and tuna were the best parts, no doubt. Wine pairings were mostly local, which I liked. Just felt the portions ran a little small for what you pay. Good spot in Mainz, but I left still a little hungry.

We went for dinner and I really liked the seating area near the window. The fish dish was cooked well, flaky and fresh. It’s on the pricier side for Mainz, but the quality matches. The veal was decent too, though the portion felt a bit small for the price. Nice place if you want something a bit more refined without it being stuffy.

Pizza was solid, and the service didn’t keep me waiting. Got a pizza and a glass of wine for a fair price. My usual place was closed, so I ended up here. Glad I did. Wouldn’t mind stopping by again if I’m in the area and short on time.

The mango lassi alone is worth the trip. Thick, creamy, not too sweet, proper balance of yogurt and mango. Had it with the butter chicken, which was solid too. Terrace is small but fine for a quick bite. Maybe slightly overpriced for the portion, but I'd come back for that lassi.

Solid spot for a group dinner. Portions are huge, vibe is lively. Service was friendly, just got a bit loud when it filled up.

Loved sitting outside here, such a chill spot for catching up with friends. The mixed grill was solid and honestly pretty good for the price. Would come back for that alone. 😊

Currywurst was solid, fries with the mayo and fresh onions hit the spot. Place is small, not much seating, but the line moved quick. Got my food in no time. Fine for a quick bite if you're in the area.

The pork knuckle is still as good as the first time I had it—fall-off-the-bone tender. Place has that old-school charm across three floors. Service was friendly enough, just a bit slow since they were packed.

We stumbled in for lunch and the owner actually came by to chat for a bit. Felt more like hanging out at a friend's place than a restaurant. The rustic vibe is nice, nothing too fancy. Food was solid, I had the schnitzel and it was crispy, exactly what I needed. Just wish they had more dessert options.

Lovely beer garden under old chestnut trees. Had the schnitzel and it was solid, really hearty. Service was a bit slow but the vibe made up for it.

Great pizza and a solid location, but service was a bit slow. Staff were friendly though, and the menu deals are decent.

The lamb with berbere sauce was really good, tender and spicy. Fit-Fit was decent too, nice for a change. Only thing—takeout box leaked a bit on the way home. Minor, but kinda annoying. Still, I'd grab it again.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Got the pasta and a glass of wine. Food came out fast, which I appreciated. Flavors were solid, nothing crazy but satisfying. Price was a bit high for what you get, but the quality is there. Good spot if you need a decent meal without wasting time.

The calamari were honestly the standout—super tender, not rubbery at all. Baked potatoes came out crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. Portion size was generous for the price, which surprised me. Place was a bit busy when I went, but the food made up for it. Would grab that calamari again.

The grilled fish was really fresh, and the place has that casual sports bar energy. Just expect a bit of a wait when it gets busy.
