Steak and ale pie was perfect for a quick bite. Pastry crisp, filling rich and hearty.

Popped in on a whim. The spicy lamb skewers were spot-on, really well seasoned. The vibe was buzzing, maybe a bit too loud for a proper chat, but that's fine. Solid spot for a casual bite.

Been coming here for years. Food’s always solid, never had a bad meal. Prices are fair. That’s it really.

The Timothy Taylor Landlord here was a proper pint, exceptionally well-kept. That's the main thing for me. The selection of ales is decent. A solid choice for a quiet pint after work.

The set menu for two was really tasty and felt like a good deal. I liked the wine list they had. The space itself is quite cosy, with these warm wooden tables and soft lighting - just a nice, relaxed spot to eat.

The food quality is impressive, especially the burgers and fish & chips. Fast service and a lively atmosphere make it a great choice!

Changes noticed this week (different to last week) - the Yorkshire puddings have improved; the size of the meat portion has reduced and the gravy was lumpy. Overall the meal was good despite the former comments. Regrettably, the ambience was spoiled by some very noisy children but the service and staff were courteous and polite.

Cosy spot with a friendly buzz. The staff were lovely, found us a table even though we hadn't booked. Food arrived quickly and was really nice.

Good wine list, lots to choose from. We had the set menu and tried a different glass with each course. Pairing worked well, service was knowledgeable on the options. Solid choice if you want to explore some pairings.

Had Sunday roast. Good choice of meats, excellent portions. Very tasty. Nice dessert menu too. Best to book as was quite busy

Cozy little spot. Felt like a hidden gem. Atmosphere was super relaxed, just right for a casual bite.

Got a table right after opening, no booking. But wow, it filled up so fast. By the time we left, it was nearly packed. A bit of a lucky escape there.

Been a regular since their old spot. Still the go-to for fish and chips. They fry it fresh, so you do wait a bit. Portions are huge though, perfect for a quick, filling lunch.

Been coming here for years. Always spotless and relaxed, which is exactly why I keep coming back.

The staff were really nice and helpful. We showed up just after the kitchen was supposed to close, but they still sorted us out with a decent meal. A pretty good experience overall.

The Sunday roast for eight was spot on. Beef was cooked just right, and the Yorkshire puddings were perfect.

The bottomless brunch is a solid deal. Food was top-notch for brunch, honestly. Service kept the drinks flowing, which is the main thing for me. The sparkling wine they pour is a decent choice for the price point.

Been here for a quick lunch. Food came out fast, which is what I needed. The service was really friendly and efficient. Good spot if you're in a hurry.

The fish was so fresh, and the light crisp coating was just right. A lovely, healthy choice after a long day.

Had my wedding here and the views were gorgeous. Georgiana was brilliant at keeping everything on track.

Really appreciated the number of vegetarian dishes on the menu. It made choosing so much easier for me. The staff were also very friendly and patient while I decided. A comfortable spot for a relaxed meal.

Been here a few times while staying nearby. The portions are huge, honestly. Always walk out full and without feeling like I've overspent.

Staff were attentive and quick. The mushroom and halloumi pitta was good, sides of mash and spicy grains were solid. Service was efficient, which I appreciate during a working lunch. No fuss, got the job done.

Lee was so good with our little one. He kept her entertained while we ate, made the whole meal way less stressful. Really appreciated that.

The staff were really on it. My dessert came out with the wrong topping, but they noticed before I even said anything and had it swapped out in a minute.

Lamb madras and chicken naga shotkari. My usual order, never disappoints.

Booked ahead for a Friday night and it was packed, so glad we did! The vibe was buzzing but not overwhelming. We tried their signature seafood linguine – the prawns were huge and the sauce had a lovely kick. Portions are generous, left feeling nicely full. A solid spot if you're in the area.

The gluten-free fish and chips were spot on. They have a dedicated fryer, which is a huge plus. The batter stayed crispy the whole time, never got soggy. Really appreciated the staff's knowledge when I asked about cross-contamination.

Took the dog here for a quick lunch. The beer garden is clean and gets great sun, perfect for him. Staff were fine with him being around. Food was decent pub grub, nothing fancy. Good spot if you're out with the dog.

The bar here is a favourite. Cosy nooks and comfortable chairs make it a really pleasant spot to unwind. The grounds are lovely, too. A nice place for a quiet drink.
