Great spot for a drink. Staff were really friendly, gave some solid tips about the neighbourhood.

Lovely old pub, the fire was going which was so nice. Had the steak pie, the beef was really tender and the pastry was spot on. Just a shame the bench seating was a bit hard, but the staff were very friendly.

A decent spot for a quiet afternoon. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, even with the football on the telly. Good for a pint and a read of the paper. The staff are fine, though service can be a little slow when it gets busy.

I was pleasantly surprised by their vegan options! The staff was super helpful and even whipped up a simple pasta dish for me that wasn't on the menu. Really tasty.

Loved the vibe here. The lighting was so soft and the decor felt really thoughtful, made it easy to just unwind over dinner. A proper cosy spot.

I highly recommend the wine pairings at this restaurant. The Christmas set menu was delightful, especially the duck Wellington, which was cooked to perfection.

The Sunday carvery was a proper treat! The roast beef was spot on, and the Yorkshire puddings were huge.

A decent spot for brunch. The grilled halloumi flatbread was pretty good, fresh and nicely seasoned. Service was quick and friendly. The place has a nice, rustic feel to it.

The Sunday roast is lovely, feels just like home cooking. I really appreciated the Yorkshire puddings - they were so light and fresh, not at all stodgy. The gravy had a nice depth of flavour too, clearly made from proper stock. Just a heads up, it's served on the first floor.

Decent Sunday lunch, the food felt like a good home-cooked meal. The beer was fine and the price was reasonable. Staff were friendly enough, though the place got a bit loud later on.

Steak and ale pie was perfect for a quick bite. Pastry crisp, filling rich and hearty.

Popped in on a whim. The spicy lamb skewers were spot-on, really well seasoned. The vibe was buzzing, maybe a bit too loud for a proper chat, but that's fine. Solid spot for a casual bite.

Been coming here for years. Food’s always solid, never had a bad meal. Prices are fair. That’s it really.

The Timothy Taylor Landlord here was a proper pint, exceptionally well-kept. That's the main thing for me. The selection of ales is decent. A solid choice for a quiet pint after work.

Been going here for years, staff are always quick and friendly. Last time my son was with me, he's autistic, and they handled it really well. Just made the whole thing easy.

The view from the back terrace over the marina is the main draw here. Sat out there on a sunny afternoon with a pint, it's hard to beat. The old building itself has a bit of character too.

The tandoori grill came on a regular plate, not a sizzler, which was a bit disappointing. The meat was quite tough.

Been here a few times for a quick bite. It’s a decent spot for a casual meal or a pint. The food’s good, plenty of choice. Staff are friendly, never feel rushed. 👍

The flatbread is homemade and just incredible. The sides and dips are a nice touch.

Really enjoyed the Sunday lunch here. The roast chicken was so fresh and tender, you could tell it was quality. Portion was generous too. The side salad had crisp greens, a nice touch. A solid spot if you care about good ingredients.

Fish and chips done right. The batter's light and crispy, and the cod is always fresh. Chips are spot on, never soggy. A proper classic.

One of the best halal dine in, if you are in Newcastle.with almost 70 plus items, value for money. The staff is very well mannered. The food quality is great.I will recommend it if you are around.

Solid pub with a good range of ales on tap. The steak and ale pie was the highlight for me – proper flaky pastry and a rich, meaty filling. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.

Decent buffet with a good mix of Chinese and English options. Everything was kept hot and the staff were quick to refill the trays. A solid choice for a casual meal, though it did get a bit busy later on.

Been a regular for ages. The food's always solid, no surprises. Service is quick, which I appreciate. But honestly, the portions feel a bit smaller than they used to be for the price. Still, it's reliable.

Been coming here for years. The Sunday roast beef is always spot on, especially with that homemade Yorkshire pudding. It's why I keep coming back.

Cozy little cafe, nice relaxed vibe. Had the milkshake and it was honestly incredible – thick, creamy, just spot on. A good spot for a casual bite.

Got seats at the bar without a booking, lucky! Full menu available. Food came out super fast, perfect for a quick lunch. The barramundi was decent. Good spot when you're in a rush.

Been coming here for years. It’s just a solid, cozy local. Always feels the same, which is exactly why I keep coming back. The atmosphere is spot on for a quiet pint or catching the game. Never lets you down.

The carrot and ginger soup was spot on, so flavourful. The brisket just fell apart. Perfect for a chilled catch-up with friends, the vibe is relaxed and you don't feel rushed at all.
