Fish and chips done right. The batter's light and crispy, and the cod is always fresh. Chips are spot on, never soggy. A proper classic.

The cod was cooked fresh to order, which you don't always get. The batter was nice and crisp, and the fish inside was still perfectly moist. A solid portion for the price, too.

The tandoori grill came on a regular plate, not a sizzler, which was a bit disappointing. The meat was quite tough.

The roast chicken was spot on, juicy and full of flavour, just like a proper home-cooked meal. The menu had a good few options to choose from. It's a clean, tidy place and the staff were really pleasant. I'll definitely be back for more.

The flatbread is homemade and just incredible. The sides and dips are a nice touch.

Decent buffet with a good mix of Chinese and English options. Everything was kept hot and the staff were quick to refill the trays. A solid choice for a casual meal, though it did get a bit busy later on.

Been coming here for years. The Sunday roast beef is always spot on, especially with that homemade Yorkshire pudding. It's why I keep coming back.

The pour-over coffee is always spot on. I really liked the CBD green mint tea too, it was a nice, calming find. The whole place just has a really relaxed, quiet vibe that's perfect for a slow morning.

Got seats at the bar without a booking, lucky! Full menu available. Food came out super fast, perfect for a quick lunch. The barramundi was decent. Good spot when you're in a rush.

Gluten-free options are solid, they use a separate fryer. The batter came out crisp, no issues. Good to have a reliable choice for dietary needs.

this is a lovely place to dine.... staff are attentive, welcoming and very polite. Food was delicious, special effort made by them for my granddaughter's birthday. Lovely afternoon, frequent this often.

The Thai curry was a bit watery for my taste, could've used more punch. My partner's main was really good though, so I'd probably try something else next time.

The food is consistently good. The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender, rich sauce, perfect with the mash. That's what keeps me coming back.

Stopped in for a quick lunch during a work trip. My salad arrived in about 10 minutes, still crisp and fresh. The greens tasted so vibrant, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. It was a quiet afternoon, which let me really focus on the quality of the ingredients. Just what I needed.

The portions are huge, honestly. I could barely finish my pasta. Good value for the quality, though the price felt about right for what you get.

Staff were friendly and helpful with the menu. Good suggestions on both food and drinks. Service was efficient, which I appreciate for a business lunch. No fuss, got the job done.

Been here a few times with mates. The penne vodka with salmon is always spot on - looks great on the table for sharing too. Staff are really polite. It's just a reliable spot for a catch-up.

Found this place by chance. The owner has such a good sense of humour, really made the whole room smile. Just a nice, easy vibe to have a meal in.

Nicola the manager was so on top of things, even with the place being absolutely packed for Valentine's. My partner's steak was cooked just right, which was a nice surprise given the rush.

The fillet steak is the best in Durham. Ordered it medium rare, and it arrived exactly that way. Tender, good flavour. Prices are fair for what you get.

The paneer bhuna was lovely, really fresh. The wait was a bit long, but the seats were comfortable so it was fine.

Nice spot in an old building downtown. I like that you can see the kitchen. The pizza was good, but honestly, for the price, I expected a bit more on the plate.

The 2-for-£25 deal is solid. Had the steak and fish pie last night. Steak was cooked just right, fish pie creamy and hearty. Portions are decent for the price. Food arrived quickly, which was nice as we were pretty hungry.

This little spot by the cathedral is a total find. Came with a few mates and the lamb madras was spot on – really packed a punch. Perfect for a casual catch-up, the vibe is just right for a group.

Loved the vibe here! The decor is so thoughtful, really sets the mood for a relaxed catch-up with friends. We ended up chatting for ages without even noticing.

The staff were so kind and accommodating. I had a specific request about the wine pairing for my main, and they took the time to discuss it properly. Made the whole evening feel relaxed and considered. A real plus.

The steak was cooked just right, and the sauce was lovely. I also tried my friend's mussels, which were really good. The £13.95 set menu is a nice option, and you can choose a dessert instead of a starter. A comfortable spot for a relaxed meal.
