Came back for the club sandwich and it still hits the spot. Quick lunch, didn’t have to wait long. Staff was friendly too. Place is nothing fancy but for the price it’s solid. Just what I needed today.

Pleasant grand cafe / brasserie style restaurant with good food and friendly staff. The only recommendation/advice for this restaurant would be to think about the layout of the restaurant as it is not logically laid out, few 'corners' have been created for guests.

The pancakes are decent, especially the cheese and ginger one. Inside gets loud when kids' parties are on though. Second time we sat outside, way more pleasant.

Stopped by for a quick bite on the Waalkade. Cheese croquettes came out a bit dry, maybe sat under the heat lamp too long. Service was on the slower side but not terrible. Honestly, you're there for the view of the bridge anyway. That's the main draw.

Lots of space for the kids to run around, they even had giant chess pieces out. Food was decent, nothing crazy. Got a bit chilly once the sun went down though.

The pulled chicken bao was the highlight for me—so juicy and well-seasoned. I liked that the appetizers came out fresh and vibrant. The mains were okay, though the steak could’ve used a pinch of salt. Fries were a bit soft for Dutch taste. Dessert and cheese board saved the end of the meal nicely. Place is loud, so not the spot for a quiet chat.

Cozy place, staff genuinely friendly. Had the grilled fish with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc—decent pairing, though the wine list could use a few more options. Food was good, not mind-blowing.

Solid steak. Tenderloin was cooked right, decent size portion. Location by the old harbor is nice for a walk after. Nothing fancy but does the job.

Pasta was properly al dente and the wine list worked well with the meal. Service friendly enough, though it did take a while to get the bill.

Solid food, decent prices. Big menu, plenty of veggie stuff. Nothing fancy but it hit the spot. Service was quick, no complaints. Good casual spot if you're in the area and hungry.

The bitterballen were the real deal. Crunchy outside, warm and gooey inside. Had the stoofvlees too, meat was properly tender. Beer was decent, nothing crazy. Place was busy but that didn't matter. Solid spot for a quick bite.

The cocktails were solid and the vibe is nice, but the food really is hit or miss. Nachos were great, my burger was kinda dry though.

Walked in and the fruit smell hit me right away. Got a smoothie, thick and cold, definitely real fruit. Staff helped me pick a combo, spot on.

The bacon-wrapped prawns were the highlight honestly. Cactus soup was a nice surprise too, pretty unique. I had the mixed grill and my friend got the tuna, both cooked properly. Place was busy but we got our food quick enough. Would come back for those prawns again.

Came for the beer tasting, ended up staying way longer than planned. Terrace is nice when it's not too windy. Staff were chill and friendly.

Came with a big group and Julian took care of us the whole night—drinks never ran dry. Food was solid, place had a fun buzz to it. Would come back for sure.

The mushroom soup tasted like it was made that morning, really fresh and light. Bread was warm, soft, perfect for dipping. Service felt genuine, not forced. Place was quiet enough to actually enjoy the meal. Just wish the soup portion was a bit bigger, left wanting another spoonful.

An inconspicuous quiet restaurant in Nijmegen. A little fiddly to park as there is no dedicated parking lot with the restaurant. We went for our 20 years wedding anniversary and ordered 4 course dinner with accompanying wine for me. The front part of the restaurant is quiet and classy. We were sat at bay window against the street. It is quite chilly due to single glazed windows and the the heater is not on yet. The service is excellent. The waiters are very frendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. The wine suited the taste of every dish. We had a very enjoyable evening.

Stopped by for a coffee on Lange Hezelstraat and honestly it was such a calm little spot. Sat near the window, watched people walk by, no rush at all. Coffee was solid, nothing crazy, but the vibe made it worth it. Would be a cute place to bring a friend for a catch-up. Maybe not a destination spot, but fine if you're already in the area.

The owner overheard us craving spicy food and brought out her Singaporean husband’s private chili sambal. That personal touch made the meal. Would’ve loved a beer pairing suggestion to go with it though.

Great concept - order small dishes and try a bit of everything. Veggie options were a nice touch. Perfect for a quick bite when you want variety without the commitment.

The owner is Indonesian and cooks everything himself — you can really taste it. Perfect spot to bring a couple of friends for something different. Just wish it were a bit closer to the center. 😄

The Oreo ice cream dessert was really good, one of the best I've had in a while. The rest of the meal was fine, nothing to complain about. Place felt relaxed, easy to sit and take your time. I'd come back just for that dessert again.
