The Old Fashioned was solid—not too sweet, which I appreciated. Also tried the risotto balls and the beiju with dried meat, both were pretty good. Place had a decent vibe for a casual night out. Nothing fancy, but it did the job. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

The shrimp risotto was packed with shrimp and the price was fair. Service was fast, just a bit noisy inside.

The atmosphere really stands out — high ceilings and old fittings that feel like early 1900s Rio. Gets busy at night, mostly locals. I’d go back for that vibe alone.

Came for the Belgian beers, left pretty happy. Burgers held their own next to the brews, nothing fancy but solid. Place was buzzing but not chaos, which was nice. Wish the fries had a bit more crunch, but whatever. Good spot to just hang and drink.

Great spot to catch a game and grab a decent beer. The celebrity photos on the wall are a nice touch. Staff were friendly, kept the drinks coming. Solid choice if you're in the area.

The choribolinha appetizer was so good, we ordered another round 😅 Grilled okra with that spicy sauce? Unexpected win. Meat came out perfectly cooked too. Place has a chill vibe, good for hanging out with friends. Only thing is it got a bit loud later, but we were having too much fun to care.

The executive menu here is a solid deal for lunch. Tagliatelle with sausage ragu was hearty, and I was in and out in 35 minutes. Chocolate cake was a nice way to finish.

Came here for a steak fix and left pretty full. The picanha was decent, but honestly the portion felt a bit small for what they charge. I get that it's Barra, so prices run higher, but I've had better value elsewhere. The grill smell in the air is nice though. Maybe stick to the simpler cuts if you're watching your wallet.

The place has that classic Parisian bistro feel — dark wood, proper tablecloths, the whole vibe. I sat near the window and honestly the seating was comfortable enough to stay for two hours. Menu's got a good range, ingredients tasted fresh. Service was fine, though a bit all over the place when it got busy. Still, I'd go back for the atmosphere alone.

The staff surprised me with a cake and sang for my birthday — totally unexpected. Grilled octopus was the standout dish. Place has a cozy vibe, would come back.

Came for drinks, stayed for dinner. The short rib ravioli was pretty good — rich without being too heavy. Regis took care of us, decent service. Place got a bit loud later but it was fine. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area.

Stopped by for a cigar, ended up loving the octopus spaghetti. Cuban at the table was a treat, though cigar prices are steep.

The meat selection here is really good — lamb and beef ribs were the highlight for me. Salad bar has plenty of options too. It does get a bit intense with the constant meat coming around, but you can just flip the card to pause. Place feels upscale, not stuffy. I liked that.

Service was the highlight for sure. Place was completely packed but they still managed to check on us and explain the menu without rushing. Even split the portions for us without asking. That kind of attention makes a difference.

Came here for a quick lunch with a friend and honestly the sandwich was way bigger than I expected 😅 Tasted fresh, service was fast enough for a weekday. Price is a little steep, but sitting inside the Imperial Palace area kinda makes up for it. Would come back if I'm around that side again.

Solid northeastern food in Botafogo. Banana and dried beef fritters were the highlight. Cashew caipirinha hit the spot.

The rooftop view of Copacabana is really something, especially when the sun starts going down. I just sat there with my drink, no rush at all. It does get a bit pricey though—one beer was around R$15. But for the scenery, I didn't mind. There was a DJ playing when I went, but it wasn't too loud to talk. Comfortable spot to just unwind.

Open 24 hours, which is super handy for an early breakfast. Grabbed a coffee and a bite before the rush—decent enough, though the wine list is pretty basic. Fine for a quick stop.

Came for the feijoada on Saturday and honestly it was as good as the touristy spots in Ipanema, half the price. Simple place, but the stew was hearty. Just wish they had more farofa.

The vibe is very Rio — crowded, a little chaotic, but fun. We ended up standing on the sidewalk with cold beers, which was fine by me. Prices were fair for the portion.

Stopped by for a drink with friends and João totally nailed the recommendations. I had some house cocktail I’d never heard of before and it was spot on. Even the non-alcoholic options had way more variety than I expected. Only thing is it got a bit loud later, but honestly fine for hanging out.

Been coming here since the 80s, and the food never lets me down. The feijoada on Wednesdays is solid, beans cooked right, pork tender. Portions are generous for the price. Place gets packed but who cares. Just eat and go.
