The bartender's stories about the pub's history were great, and the classic ale I had with them was just right. A proper old-school spot.

A family-run pub, lovely welcome. I asked for a smaller portion of fish and chips as the regular looked huge, and they were happy to oblige. The fish was fresh, lovely light batter. Just what I wanted.

The ribeye with peppercorn sauce was really good. I appreciated how comfortable the seating was, made it easy to relax. The staff were friendly without being overbearing, which was nice. The flat white at the end was a solid touch.

Steak lunch spot. The steak was cooked just right. Chunky chips and cheesy garlic mushrooms were on point. Friendly service when you walk in.

The weekday afternoon 2-for-1 deal is the main draw. We ordered a few starters and sharing plates. Everything was presented nicely, but the flavours were the real standout. Full and well-balanced.

Been coming here for years. It's just a solid, reliable pub. The fish and chips are always good, and the vibe is nice. Never had a bad meal.

Came here for a quick bite, got the chicken curry with sides and naan. Honestly, for around £35 for two, you get a lot of food. The portions are huge! Curry was decent, naan was fresh. Hard to complain at that price.

Nice spot for a chat. The quieter section was pleasant, though the sports screens in the other area were a bit distracting.

Quick service and friendly staff. Got my order in and out fast.

Lovely little spot just off the main road in Skipton. I really appreciated the traditional feel inside. The entrance is modest, but it's a cozy gem. I was pleased to see several fresh, seasonal ingredients on the menu, which is always a good sign for me.

The ploughman's lunch was pretty good and a decent portion. The weekday offer makes it good value. Ale was fine.

Dog-friendly, which is a plus. Popped in for a drink and the atmosphere was welcoming. The wine list had a few nice local options to choose from.

The set meal for two was lovely. The wine pairing was spot on, and the staff were so attentive without being intrusive. Just felt really relaxed the whole time.

The soup of the day was really nice. Had the loose leaf tea with honey and lemon too, which was a good little extra. Staff were polite and got things done quickly. A solid spot for a quiet lunch.

Dinner out of this world was a really good carvery plenty meat staff more than freindly and help full good valve for money be goin again 10/10

Great spot to bring friends (and dogs!). The carvery is as good as they say, and the staff were super welcoming.

Been coming here for years, the quality never dips. Ordered the lamb shank via the app at our table, came out piping hot and fell right off the bone. Just solid, reliable food.

Hidden gem indeed. The steak and Stilton pie was massive, could barely finish it. Pork belly portion was just as generous. For the price, you're getting a lot on the plate.

The Sunday roast here is honestly the best I've found. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends. The beef was so tender, and those giant Yorkshire puddings were a highlight. Just a really solid, cosy spot for a weekend lunch.

The staff were so lovely and attentive. They really took care to make sure we had a nice time. The food was good, but for me, the standout was how fresh everything tasted. You could tell the ingredients were top-notch.

Solid lamb curry. Tender meat, rich sauce. Naan was fresh and fluffy. Service was friendly, not rushed. Good spot for a quick dinner.

Popped in for a quick lunch. The fish and chips from the specials board were spot on, really fresh and crispy. The tartare sauce was a nice touch. Just what I needed.

The portions are huge! We've done takeaway a few times and ate in once. The food's always piping hot and cooked just right. Perfect for sharing with mates when you're really hungry.

The bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed chatting with them, they made us feel very well looked after.

Hugo Spritz was a great choice for a quick bite. Staff suggested it, spot on. Refreshing, hit the spot. Good wine list too. Quick service, in and out.

Grabbed a quick lunch here. The vegan sausage sourdough toastie was spot on. Came with a decent pile of crisps and salad too. Good portion for the price. Got me in and out fast, which is exactly what I needed.

Been coming here for years. The big windows are a big part of why I keep coming back. Just feels bright and relaxed every time, even on a grey day. A solid spot.

The basement private room was ideal for our group of 20. Staff were attentive and the space felt secluded without being cramped. It was a nice, relaxed setup for the evening.
