We stopped by for a late lunch on a rainy day. The Handkäs with music was solid, exactly what I wanted. But honestly, the portion felt a bit small for 12 euros. I get that it's a classic place, but I left still a little hungry. The wine was good though, so I didn't mind too much. Just don't come starving.

This restaurant is part of the old town and close to the Rhein. It has a vibrant vibe. Customers can dine outside or inside. We chose to eat inside as rain threatened. Service was prompt and efficient. The food menu is sufficient for this type of pub / cocktail bar / bistro. The quality of the food was excellent. It was accompanied by fine wine at reasonable prices. The combination of good food and drink and a lively atmosphere would make me want to return.

The breakfast buffet here is solid — lots of fresh fruit and veggies, which I always look for. Price changes by day, but the spread is generous. Just wish the eggs were a bit warmer.

Walked in for dinner and the place looks way fancier than the price suggests. Staff was friendly, not pushy. Had the kadhai paneer — proper desi taste, garam masala came through nicely. Asked for extra spice and they got it right. Solid spot if you're craving something with actual flavor.

The owner still remembers everyone’s name—that says a lot. Gyros were solid, tzatziki fresh. House wine did the job, nothing fancy but paired well with the meal.

I’ve ordered from here a few times now, and the vegetarian options are pretty solid. The daal makhani was delicious and arrived hot. Some of the paneer dishes leaned a bit sweet rather than spicy, even when I asked for heat. Still, it’s a good choice for Indian food in Mainz.

Decent spot for a Saturday night. Place was packed but we got a table inside without too long a wait. Had the souvlaki with rice — pretty good, and the portion felt fair for what you pay. Staff were friendly enough. Nothing fancy, but it did the job.

The onion rings alone are worth stopping here for. Crunchy, not greasy, probably the best I've had in a while. Burger was solid too, nothing crazy but it hit the spot. Place was a bit busy when I went, but whatever. Fine for a quick bite if you're in the area.

The crunchy rolls and eel maki are solid picks here. Vegetarian options are a nice change too. Just skip the miso soup, it's pretty bland. Good spot for a casual sushi fix.

Lovely old-style place, really liked the atmosphere. Food was fresh and well prepared. It's a bit outside town, but parking was easy and it felt calm.

Traditional first class Italian restaurant with top line food. Dishes are rather classic but of highest quality. Excellent wines and a personal friendly service.

The veggie plate with rosemary potatoes was solid — generous portions for the price. Gyro looked good too, maybe next time.

Tucked away but worth finding. Interior feels properly Indian, and the food was genuinely good. One of the better curry spots around here.

The grilled octopus was spot on, and the glass of Albariño they suggested paired beautifully with it. Service stayed attentive without hovering. Place gets a bit loud later in the evening, but that’s on us for picking a Friday night. Solid spot for a relaxed dinner when you want decent drinks without overthinking it.

Lovely old-school café near Villa Grunewald. The vintage interior is really cozy, and the cakes were fresh. They even played Elvis when we asked. Just a nice spot to sit for a while.

The pizza was crispy and piled high with toppings — they even bring scissors to cut it, which I thought was a nice touch. Just a heads up, the place is tiny, so definitely book ahead.

The Flammkuchen was solid, really tasty. Location is nice, right by the forest. Other stuff we tried was hit or miss, but that one dish made it worth it.

Came here with a couple of friends and honestly the free ouzo at the start already won me over 😄 The tzatziki was super garlicky and they didn’t hold back on the portion. Tasted like actual Greek home cooking, not the usual tourist stuff. We stayed longer than planned just chatting and nibbling. Place got a bit loud later but it added to the vibe.

Solid pizza and fair prices for what you get. The pasta looked good too, though I only tried the one dish. Service was friendly enough, not hovering. Place gets a bit loud when it fills up, but that's about it.

The seafood risotto was the main event here. Plenty of shrimp and mussels, rice cooked right. Wine by the glass was fine. Prices though, a bit steep for what you get. Not complaining, just saying. If you want solid Italian without the frills, this works.

The truffle ravioli was the standout for me — rich but not too heavy. Salads tasted properly fresh too. Place has a nice relaxed vibe, nothing fancy but solid.

Came here on a regular weekday evening, place wasn't too packed. Had the sushi and a bento box. Fish tasted fresh, no complaints. Prices are fair for the quality. Chef knows what he's doing. Not the kind of spot you'd dress up for, but it does the job when you want decent Japanese food nearby.

Booked a table for Saturday, glad I did. Place was packed. Had the schnitzel, decent portion, came out hot. Service was efficient, no fuss. Price fair for what you get. Nothing fancy, but solid. Would go back if I'm in the area.

Came here for a birthday dinner. Fish was cooked properly, appetizers were solid. Service did what it needed to do, no complaints. Bill felt fair for what we got. Nothing fancy, but it worked.

Came for our anniversary, left impressed. Solid cocktails and good music. Service was efficient, no complaints. Maybe a bit pricey, but the food held up.

The terrace right outside the town walls is lovely. Fried fish was solid, cold meat platter did the job too. Local spirit was a nice touch. Service kept things moving.

Solid Italian spot in Bad Soden. Had the tagliatelle, pasta was cooked right. Service was a bit slow but friendly enough. Fine for a casual weeknight dinner.

Been coming here for years and the meat quality never drops. Baked potato with sour cream is still my go-to side. Prices are fair for what you get.
