The staff was so sweet even though my Japanese is terrible 😅 They kept checking on us and refilling our waters, made our girls' night feel really relaxed.

A classic for a reason. Sat at the counter again last night. The sashimi was pristine. Their sake list is thoughtful, found a nice Junmai Ginjo that paired beautifully with the fatty tuna. Parking's easy, which is a plus.

The book room in the back is so quiet, just perfect for reading. It felt like a little secret spot away from the main cafe. The light was soft, and the whole vibe was really relaxing.

The plain waffle here is the real deal. Made fresh, so it's crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy inside. I like that it's not overly sweet, lets the quality of the batter come through. A solid choice.

The way they serve the pancake is clever. You get two sauces, then add pepper or chili to each quarter. Four different tastes in one dish.

Weekday lunch, the daily sashimi set was solid. Really enjoyed the sea bream chazuke, the broth was delicate. The grilled fish collar side was a nice touch. Their house sake by the glass paired well with the clean flavors. A quiet, pleasant spot for a midday meal.

As a non-smoking spot, it's very comfortable. The servers were really attentive—noticed my water glass was low and refilled it without me asking. That kind of small thing makes a difference.

This restaurant is conveniently located next to Okayama Station, making it easy to access. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service, making it a great value for a fine dining experience.

First time trying mantis shrimp in vinegar here. The texture was so unique, like a cross between lobster and shrimp. Yellowtail sashimi was also super fresh.

Been coming here for years. The seasoning is always light, just enough to let the ingredients speak for themselves. It's the main reason I keep coming back.

The seafood here is very fresh, like you'd expect in Okayama. I had the tempura and simmered fish set. The portions are generous, which was nice. The seat was a bit hard for a long meal, but the service was friendly and attentive.

Decent spot for a quick business lunch. The non-smoking area is well-separated, which I appreciate. Had the daily pasta set. Food was fine, service was efficient. Good for a quiet, focused meal between meetings.

Managed to snag a tatami room without a reservation! The space is so calm and quiet, really lets you unwind.

The pork miso soup here is really good. It's a free refill, which is nice. The flavor is deep and rich, maybe they use a bit of sake in the broth. The rice is firm and has a nice texture, too.

Perfect for a quick coffee before the train. Right inside Kurashiki station, so no time wasted. Coffee was hot and decent. Got my order in under a minute. Just what I needed.

The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food and the beautiful view of Okayama make it worth every yen. It's a perfect spot for special occasions.

My Fruit Frappuccino was a nice surprise, haven't seen it at many other stores. Good for picking up a stamp. The drink itself was refreshing, though the fruit bits could've been a bit chunkier.

The 2700 yen lunch course was a solid choice. They asked about allergies and main preference first. The pace of the dishes was just right, not rushed at all. The main was a grilled fish, skin crispy and the flesh still moist. That's the kind of simple execution I look for.

I had the chef's recommended course, and the lobster dish was a standout! The service was friendly and made the evening even more special.

The owner clearly loves his craft beer. He gave us a few good recommendations, both for the beer and what to do nearby. Knowledgeable and friendly. The space itself is a bit small, but it's fine for a quick drink.

Took my wife here for our anniversary. The place has a warm, luxurious feel but didn't feel stuffy at all. Just right for a quiet date night. The wine pairing was a nice touch.
