The sourdough was a great find! Crunchy outside, so soft inside. Perfect for a quick bite while wandering around.

The afternoon tea was so generous! The scones were still warm and the cakes were clearly homemade. Could barely finish it all.

Loved the relaxed vibe here. Service was spot on, friendly but not overbearing. The frozen lemonade was a lifesaver on a warm day – properly tart and icy, just what you want. A solid spot for a casual catch-up.

The relaxed vibe here is lovely for a long chat. I really appreciate their focus on fresh ingredients. The seasonal mocktail I had was crisp and clearly made with real, quality fruit. A nice spot to unwind without the heavy, sugary drinks.

Hot chocolate was a must-try. Gorgeous, honestly. The handmade flavours were irresistible. Just had to get a box to go.

The ribeye was cooked just right, really juicy and full of flavour. Honestly, one of the best steaks I've had in ages. The staff were lovely too, very friendly and on the ball.

Good spot for a quick coffee and a sandwich. The outdoor seating is ideal if you have a dog with you. Service was prompt, which I appreciate when I'm on a short break. Coffee was decent, nothing fancy.

The gluten-free choices are really thoughtful here. I had the quinoa salad and it was so fresh, packed with crisp veggies. A nice change from the usual limited options.

Service here is a real standout. The staff are genuinely friendly, remember your name, and they take the time to chat. It feels personal, not like those big chain places. The barista even suggested a nice red to go with my steak pie, which was spot on.

The food was super fresh and cooked just right. Staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was nice. I did notice the kitchen seemed a bit rushed, but it didn't really affect our meal.

The gluten-free options here are a real find. My wife has Coeliac disease, and the staff knew their stuff. The meatballs to start were spot on – really flavourful. It’s a bit of a drive from Glasgow, but we’d do it again just for a meal like this.

Huge portions. Honestly, the quality for the price is just right. Came for brunch, left absolutely stuffed. Won't need lunch.

Popped in after shopping. Been a few times now, always find the staff friendly and professional. They remembered to ask about allergies again, which I appreciate.

Lovely spot with a view of the monument. The outdoor seating is clean and they're dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. Just a bit breezy out there today.

Cosy spot with a relaxed vibe. The wine list had a few nice surprises for a casual lunch.

Tasty food, good veggie selection. The sandwiches are generous and filling. Decent value for money. Service was a bit slow at lunch, but the food made up for it.

Grabbed the eggs benedict with haggis and black pudding for a quick breakfast. Portions were huge, couldn't finish it all. Got me through the morning just fine. Solid spot for a fast, filling bite.

A nice spot for families. The kids' platter was a big hit with ours, and the staff were friendly and efficient even on a busy Saturday. It's good to find a place that's so welcoming to dogs, too.

The lemon drizzle cake is the star here. Moist, sharp icing, not too sweet. Honestly, I'd go back just for that slice. The rest of the menu looks solid, but that cake is the one.

I had an incredible experience at Heron! The attention to detail in both the food and service is remarkable. Every course was a highlight, and I can't wait to return for another tasting menu.

Staff were really on it with my mate's dairy allergy - spotted the cheese on her burger before we did and sorted it straight away. Nice chat too.

My regular spot for a quick bite. Food's always reliable, and the staff are super friendly. The new refurb makes it a bright, cheerful space now. Perfect for a fast lunch.

The chateaubriand here was cooked just right. It was so tender, honestly one of the best I've had. A really nice surprise for a first visit.

The courtyard is a nice spot for lunch, and they're dog-friendly. The Shrimp Po'Boy had juicy prawns and a great slaw.

Lovely views from the table, makes for a very relaxing meal. The only slight hiccup was finding a parking spot nearby, took a little circling.

Staff were very attentive. They noticed it was our anniversary and brought a small complimentary dessert. A nice gesture.

Been coming here for years, and that old-school vibe never gets old. The owner’s always happy to chat about the building’s history if you ask. It’s the kind of place that feels consistent, a proper local spot.

Been coming here for years. Their duck breast is always spot on, cooked just right. Honestly, it's one of the best things I've eaten in ages. The rest of the menu is heavy on seafood, which is fine.
