The soup of the day was a proper leek and potato. You could tell it was fresh, not from a tin. Really hit the spot on a drizzly afternoon. Good for the price around here.

Lovely little spot. The pistachio ice cream was so creamy and refreshing, really hit the spot on a warm day. The server was so nice, too.

Been coming here for years, and the corn fritters are the reason. They're always spot-on, never greasy, just the right amount of sweet from the corn. My wife sticks with her gluten-free pulled pork, and it's consistently good too. That kind of reliability keeps us coming back.

Quick lunch spot with solid veggie options. The Catalan spinach and aubergine tapas hit the spot. Good for a speedy bite.

Popped in for lunch, the avocado toast with eggs was really good. Coffee's always solid here. Menu's got more than you'd think for a small spot.

Lunch outside was lovely. The sunshine helped, but the food really stood out. You can taste the quality in the ingredients - my pasta was so fresh. Pauline was a gem, really attentive. A nice, relaxed spot.

Great spot for a quick bite near the station. The food was solid, and they had a decent house red that hit the spot.

Dog friendly bakery with solid vegan and gluten free options. The almond croissant was a nice find.

Fresh food, quick service. Exactly what you need for a fast lunch.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Really made the evening easy.

Had the beetroot and feta to start, which was really fresh. The duck main was cooked perfectly, really tender. A solid meal.

First time here, the sandwich was spot on. The wine list had some nice options to go with it.

First time at their boozy brunch. The drinks were strong and tasty, which is exactly what you want with a meal like this. Ben was very attentive.

James is always so helpful and kind. Makes dining out with children much easier.

Chicken paradise salad was spot on. Fresh, crisp greens. The baked potato is huge, could be a meal on its own. Solid lunch spot.

The food was fantastic, really well presented. I was impressed by their use of local ingredients. The wine list had some interesting local options that paired nicely with the modern Scottish dishes. A solid choice for a proper meal.

Love the lively canteen feel here. The menu's got loads to choose from, and everything we tried was spot on. Portions are generous for the price. It does get quite noisy inside, but that's part of the energy.

The Scottish breakfast was cooked perfectly, and they accommodated our substitutions without any fuss.

The hot chocolate was so rich and creamy, a proper treat on a cold day. It's clearly a student favourite, the vibe is relaxed and cosy. The milkshakes looked great too, might try one next time.

Dog-friendly, which is a win. Their house blend was decent, but the real find was a small-batch Colombian roast they had for sale. Bought a bag to take home. The beans are a bit pricier than my usual spot, but the flavour profile is interesting.

The beef Wellington for two was spot on. Live piano in the background was a nice touch.

Been coming here for years. The staff always greet you with a smile and know the regulars. Makes it feel like a proper local spot.

Nice spot for a business lunch. The service was prompt and efficient, which is key for me. The building itself is quite impressive, both inside and out. Food was decent, nothing spectacular, but it got the job done. Good location near the office.

The set menu is a solid deal. My favourite was the pork belly with lentils - so tender, and those grilled spring onions gave it a lovely smoky flavour. The prawn starter was tasty, just a little on the small side. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends.
