Nobuhle was a decent server—friendly, attentive, kept us posted when drinks took a while. Pretty good service, made the stop worthwhile.

Thabo looked after us the whole night — super friendly and never once had to chase him for anything. Food was solid too, can see why locals keep coming back.

Friendly service and the food came out fresh. Nice touch that you walk in through the Sasol garage—grabbed a bottle of wine on the way out to pair with dinner.

Caramel shake was the move. Thick, sweet, exactly what I needed after the meal. Didn't try much else but honestly that drink alone made it worth stopping in. Place was busy but whatever. Solid spot if you're after something cold and sugary.

Friendly staff and the place was spotless. Food came out fresh, cashier had a nice vibe. Solid quick stop if you're in the area.

The 3-course catch was solid, popcorn prawn starter was the highlight. Service from our waitress was spot on.

Phumzile looked after us properly for a farewell dinner—always around when needed but never hovering. Food and drinks were on point. That vibe just made the whole evening feel right. Only thing is it got a bit loud later on, but honestly didn’t bother me much. Solid spot.

The music voting thing is such a clever idea, got our whole group chatting and picking songs together. Made the night feel way more fun than just a regular bar. 🎶

Stopped in for a quick bite and honestly the food came out fast and hot. Got the burger and it was decent, nothing mind-blowing but solid. Place was clean too, even the bathroom which you don't always see. Staff were friendly enough. Wouldn't go out of my way but if you're nearby it does the job.

No. 9 of Local Restaurants in Johannesburg

The veggie bowl was fresh and the rice cooked just right — pretty decent for the price. Took a bit longer than I expected to get the food, but honestly the quality made up for the wait. The seating area felt a bit cramped though, not the most comfortable spot to hang around after eating.

Called in right before closing, owner still took my order. Bunny chow gravy had proper flavour, not bland at all.

The stir-fry noodles were decent and came out hot. Portion size was fair for what you pay, nothing crazy but you won't leave hungry.

Service was solid — waiter kept the chai coming even when the place got busy. Friendly without hovering. That's about all I need from a spot like this.

Food's decent when it's fresh, bottomless drinks are a plus. Parking's a nightmare though, always packed.

The lamb wrap was proper good. Meat so soft it just fell apart, and the flavour was spot on. Had it sitting by the window watching the street go by, felt right. Maybe couldve used a bit more sauce but honestly didnt need it. Would happily grab another one next time Im in the area.

The chicken schnitzel primavera was the standout for me — crispy, loaded with veg, and the portion was generous. We also tried a couple of pastas and a pizza, all solid. Prices felt fair for what you get. Place was busy but we didn't wait too long. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Came here for my birthday dinner and had a really good time. The cocktails were on point and the food didn’t disappoint. Mildred took care of us the whole night, super friendly without being over the top. Place has a chill vibe, not too loud, easy to just sit and talk. Only thing is it did get a bit busy later on, but that’s probably a good sign. Solid spot if you’re in the area.

Agnes and Thuli really know their stuff — pointed us to a couple of dishes we wouldn’t have picked ourselves. Service like that makes a difference. Place was busy but they didn’t rush us. Only thing is it’s a bit loud when it fills up. Still, solid spot for a proper meal.

The brisket was tender and smoky, really well-prepared. Loved the quirky vibe and the owner clearly cares about the food. Drinks were refreshing too.

The grilled fish here is decent—probably the best kosher meal I've had in a while. Upstairs in Genesis, Fairmount. Worth finding if you're in the area.
