The food was decent but honestly the seating area felt cramped. We were squeezed in between two other tables and I could barely move my chair. Not the spot if you want some breathing room while you eat. Service was fine though, no complaints there. Just wish the layout had a bit more space between tables.

Came here for dinner last week and ordered the seafood platter for two. Honestly, the portion was huge — plenty of prawns, calamari, and hake, all fresh. We couldn't finish it. For the price, it's decent value, especially if you're hungry. Service was fine, nothing fancy, but the food did the talking. Would go back just for that platter.

Great spot for a quick bite. The food came out fast and the gallery setting is pretty cool. Service was friendly too. Would stop by again if I'm in the area.

Shared about six plates over a long dinner. The lamb skewers stood out—properly spiced, not dry. Service was attentive without hovering. Place got busy around 8 but never felt rushed. Bill came to R850 for two with drinks, which felt fair for the quality. Would go back if I'm in the area again.

Came on a quiet weeknight, so no wait at all. Steak was decent, veggies actually seasoned properly which is rare around here. The chai latte caught me off guard, in a good way. Place has more of a sports bar feel, not exactly cosy or romantic, but fine for a casual bite. Seats are a bit stiff though, wouldn't want to linger too long.

The ambiance at Aurum is truly special, making it a great spot for celebrations, although the food could be elevated to match the beautiful setting.

Came here for a quick bite and sat upstairs on the patio. The view over Grant Avenue is really nice, especially late afternoon. Waitress was friendly and checked on us a few times. Food came out quick, though the portion was a bit smaller than I expected. Still, a decent spot if you're in the area and want something easy.

Stopped by for lunch last week. The garden setting is really nice, ducks swimming in the pond while you eat. Pizza was solid, not fancy but good. They bring bottles of their own jalapeño and chili sauce to the table so you can add as much heat as you want. That was a nice touch. Place was a bit busy but fine.

The pita was soft and warm, filled generously. Tzatziki tasted fresh too. Solid spot for a relaxed lunch, though it did get a bit busy around noon.

Came for an early breakfast and ended up staying way longer than planned. Coffee was ready at 7am which is perfect for me. Queen looked after us really well. The Turkish bread is honestly the best I've had around here, so soft and fresh. Just wish they had a bit more seating inside.

The vegetarian burger bowl was decent. Yellow fried rice with sweet corn, basil and halloumi had a proper kick to it, even at medium spice. Not bad for the price. Service was quick enough, though the place got a bit busy around lunch. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

Service was friendly, that’s for sure. Drive-thru took a bit longer than I’d like, but the food came out hot and fresh. The vibe inside felt calm, even with people moving around. I’d stop again if I’m in the area. Just wish the line moved a little faster.

We've been hitting this place for breakfast and lunch for years now. Portions are proper for what you pay, always leave stuffed. Food came out quick too, my cappuccino was still hot when the meal landed. Can't complain about that.

Ordered a roti by mistake and it came out way spicier than I expected. They swapped it out straight away, no questions asked. That saved the meal for me honestly. Portion size was decent for what you pay. I'd go back if I'm in the area again.

We came here for my aunt’s 60th and the staff handled the whole group really well. Service was quick and friendly, no complaints there. Food was decent, nothing mind-blowing but solid enough. Place got a bit loud as it filled up, but that’s expected with a big party. Pretty good spot for a family thing.

Cozy spot, definitely feels more personal than the big chain places. Had a great bottle of red with the steak, paired really well. A bit pricey, but the quality makes up for it.

Went back twice because the portions were proper and the food hit the spot. Service was fine too, nothing fancy but solid. 👍

The manager really looked after us while we waited—even sorted out a toy for the little one and made sure our glasses were never empty. I had a nice glass of red that paired well with the meal, nothing fancy but spot on. That kind of personal attention stays with you. Service like this is why I'd come back.

Stopped in for a steak, went with the rump. Juicy, cooked properly, no complaints there. Place is decent for a casual dinner. Kids seemed happy enough, which is always a win. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Lovely green outdoor space with a safe play area for the kids. Parents can actually chill while they play.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and the place looks really sharp inside. Food was solid, nothing to complain about. Only thing that got me was the hand-washing area, a bit tight in there. Not a dealbreaker though, I'd still go back if I'm in the area.

Carol really looked after us - kept checking in without hovering. The Thom Yum soup was properly good, hot and sour just right. Only thing, the place got a bit busy later and the seats are on the harder side. But for a casual dinner it worked fine. I'd pop back if I'm in the area again.

Came for the tasting menu, left impressed. The service knew their stuff, pointed me toward a few dishes I wouldn't have picked myself. Fermented reindeer was the standout. Portions are small but that's expected at this level. Booking was a hassle though, had to plan weeks ahead.

The jalapeño cheese bombs were the highlight, so good. Waitress knew her stuff with the drink picks. Wings were a letdown though, dry.

Lovely spot with live music and a proper relaxed vibe. Used the Entertainer 2-for-1 on pastas and pizzas – such a good deal. Staff were friendly too. Perfect for a lazy Sunday.
