A proper pub with a proper pub feel. The outdoor seating is a lifesaver when it's packed inside, makes it so much more relaxed. We tried the chicken burrito and a couple of the curries, all very tasty. Just a really comfortable spot for a casual meal.

Jack and Mo at the bar are the best. They remember your name and your drink. Makes it feel like your local.

Been for their bottomless brunch a few times. Two hours for the price, which is decent. Cocktails kept coming, good variety. Food's alright, nothing fancy. Does the job for a lazy weekend.

Service was fine, the staff were friendly. The kids' playground is a nice touch, and the view over the golf course is pleasant. The set menu for two was decent value.

The marquee for private events is lovely! The buffet had some really nice options, especially the roast beef carving station. Staff kept everything moving smoothly. A solid spot for a celebration.

We had our team dinner here. Chelcie was so helpful with everything from booking to the actual evening. The space itself is really lovely, perfect for a group.

Had the steak and ale pie for lunch. The pastry was so good, flaky and buttery. Sat at a big table with mates, perfect for a long catch-up over a pint. The filling was tasty, but I wish there was a bit more of it.

Lunch here is always pleasant. I appreciate how fresh the ingredients feel, especially in their salads. The staff are friendly, which makes for a relaxed break. The food is consistently good.

The burger patty was cooked just right, juicy and full of flavour. The bacon was crispy, and the cheese had a nice sharpness to it. The bun held everything together without getting soggy. Good, solid burger.

We came yesterday afternoon, and we got a corner seating that was perfect. Peaceful, service great, food good. It was great. Thank you.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating for our large group. Made for a relaxed morning.

The fish and chips portion was huge! Batter was crisp, chips were proper. Ordered on the app and food arrived quickly. It's a reliable spot when you just want a no-fuss pub meal.

Stephen and Jim were brilliant hosts at brunch. They remembered our coffee order from last time, and Jim even suggested a twist on the eggs Benedict that was spot on. Made the whole morning feel really relaxed.

Perfect for a pre-theatre bite near the Royal & Derngate. Staff were lovely, and that boozy brownie sundae was the star of the show.

The rooms are lovely, and the private access to the event hall was a real plus. The wine list had some nice local options that paired well with the evening.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. The roast beef was perfectly pink and the Yorkshire puddings were huge. Felt like a proper home-cooked meal.

Been coming here for years, and what keeps me coming back is the consistency. Even on a quiet Monday, the food is just as good as on a busy Saturday. It’s that reliability I appreciate.

The Guinness is poured properly, a good creamy head. Sat outside with a pint, it was just right. The taste is spot on, not too bitter.

The seating area is so relaxing. Comfy chairs, soft lighting, the whole vibe is just right. I only popped in for a quick drink, but I could have stayed for hours. Staff were friendly too.

Came for the carvery, which was decent. But honestly, the portion for the price felt a bit off. My plate wasn't exactly heaping. Friendly staff and the drinks are good, just wish there was a bit more on the plate.

We booked a table of 3 adults and a large labradoodle. They made a big fuss of the dog, which he loved, and made us very welcome. The food was great with a huge choice.

Such a friendly pub, and I love how inclusive it feels. Everyone just seems comfortable here.

Popped in with a couple mates. The vibe was cosy, almost romantic - bit of a laugh for us. Food was spot on, really tasty. Staff were dead friendly.

Caught the match here last night. It’s a proper local, buzzing when the game's on. Loads of screens, so you won't miss a thing. The vibe is spot on for that.

The churros are the only thing I come here for. They're crisp on the outside, soft and warm inside, with that perfect cinnamon sugar coating. The chocolate dip is thick and rich, not too sweet. I've tried the French toast, it's fine, but honestly, nothing compares to those churros.

The bartender really knew his rums. I told him I usually go for something dark, and he suggested a specific one that was spot on. Friendly chat, no pressure. The rest of the team seemed nice too, but he made the visit.

Loved the historic building. The vibe inside was surprisingly relaxed, not stuffy at all.

Clyde the dog is a lovely touch, makes the place feel really welcoming. But honestly, the portion sizes for the price? A bit on the small side. My fish and chips was tasty, just left me wanting a bit more.

Solid spot for a post-work pint. The Abbot Ale was spot on and reasonably priced. Good range of real ales on tap too. Service was efficient, got my order sorted quickly.

The duck pizza really stood out. The base was super thin and crispy, just how I like it. The duck was flavourful and not too heavy. A really good dish.
