Simply excellent cuisine!! Quality of fish and meat is really good and Andy is a very talented chef. To recommend absolutely!!

The grilled fish here is really straightforward, no fancy tricks. I had the tuna belly and gambas, both were tasty and fresh. Sat near the window, chairs were comfortable enough to just relax and enjoy the meal. Service was friendly, didn't have to wait long for anything. A nice spot if you want a simple, honest meal without any hassle.

Food was fresh. Ordered prawn salad, chicken wrap, salmon wrap and Golfland burger and everything was fresh and tasted great.

Everything we tried was really good. Big portions and tasty. The veggie dim sums were delicious, some of the best of tried, from the beef, to the stir fry and curries, all was fresh and full of flavour. The waiter was vey nice too.

Wonderfully charming and homey ambiance you feel as though you’ve walked into someone’s dining room. One suggestion take a taxi as getting here can be challenging, it’s located in a residential neighborhood with very steep hills and narrow streets. And our GPS got confused and we drove around in circles. It’s a set menu for 38€, 7 courses, five starters and two mains one fish and meat. All of the dishes are authentic Portuguese cuisine and mostly seafood. Truly fresh ingredients, some highlights fresh clams in a garlic butter sauce, lightly battered shrimp, fresh fish with homemade pasta in a light broth with piri piri and cilantro. The pork on the bone in a light stew was so incredibly tender and juicy. The mini dessert sampler was fantastic! The almond crunch was fantastic as was the lemon and carob cakes. The service was excellent and our waiter is the son of the owner’s and his Mom is the chef who we met and thanked her for a truly phenomenal and special meal.

A beautiful relaxed setting to watch the sunset! We really enjoyed our meal: red sangria, grilled shrimp and calimari to start, sea bass, clams and frites, profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Very affordable too.

Always a delight to eat here. Fresh ingredients, no skimping on flavours and spices, brilliantly cooked and friendly, professional, efficient service.

Everything was perfect. Table on the terrace, great bottle of wine (Paxa Reserve) and lovely food. The service was excellent, as always

Decent spot for a group dinner. Six of us with kids, bill came out pretty reasonable for what we got. Food was fine, nothing fancy but solid.

Steak was spot on. Cooked exactly how I asked, proper flavor. They know their local wines too — let them pick and it worked. Place was busy but not chaotic. Solid dinner, nothing fancy. Would go back if I'm in the area again.

Stopped here during the cliff walk and it was a nice break. Had the Camilo chicken, really well cooked, and oysters tasted fresh. Porto Tonic was good too. Service was quick, which I appreciated. Slightly pricey but the view made up for it. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but overall a pleasant stop.

Dining at Senses was a fantastic experience! The attention to detail in each dish was remarkable, and the ambiance was perfect for a special occasion.

The fish soup was proper, really rich flavour. Baked octopus came out tender, not chewy at all. Sat outside by the water, which made it better. Staff were friendly enough, though we did wait a bit between courses. Still, that soup alone is worth stopping for if you're passing through the village.

The sea bass was really fresh, grilled just right. We had it with garlic potatoes, simple and tasty. Sitting by the marina made it feel relaxed. Only thing—they brought appetizers we didn't ask for, and those got charged. Just keep that in mind. Otherwise, a pleasant spot for a quiet meal.

great food, charming ambience set in authentic part of town (fisherman's port). attentive service (brought my daughters blankets due to the wind).

If you haven’t done your homework you will never find this little gem. It’s down a back street off the main drag where if you like delicious food you would avoid. The atmosphere is welcoming with a lovely buzz. The staff are happy and proud of what they serve you. The fresh fish is out of this world especially the seafood rice and the catch of the day. Recommended *****

The tasting menu with wine pairing was well thought out—really inventive flavors. Staff made sure we were comfortable the whole evening. Nice spot for a long dinner.

Pizza's my usual go-to here, honestly. Staff are always friendly and service is quick enough for a casual catch-up with friends. 🍕

Been coming here for a while now. The lunch special still hits the spot, good way to try a few things without over-ordering. Solid spot if you're veggie.

The chickpea veg curry was surprisingly decent, and they handled my gluten-free request without fuss. Right on the beachfront too. Service kept it simple and friendly.

We sat outside in the garden, and the flaming chorizo was the highlight. Camembert was good too, melted just right. Staff knew the menu well. Only thing is the mosquitoes were annoying. Paid about €40 each, which felt fair for what we got. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and the staff really stood out. Friendly, fast, and they actually paid attention. Suggested a dish I hadn’t tried before, and it was spot on. Didn’t hover or rush me, just checked in at the right moments. Solid spot if you want a decent bite without the usual hassle.

Right on the sand, can't beat the location. Had the flambé steak, cooked tableside—good show and the meat was decent. Prices fair for what you get, especially given the setting. Service was efficient, no complaints. Solid spot if you're staying nearby and want something easy without the tourist trap feel.

Stopped by for lunch the other day. Got the pork steak, it was big and juicy, fries were crispy too. Salad was fresh. Place wasn't crowded, plenty of room between tables, which I appreciate. Service was fine, nothing fancy. I'd go back if I'm in the area again.

The guy behind the counter let my son sample like five different gelato flavors before he settled on one. Didn't rush us at all, even with a line forming. Honestly that patience alone made our visit. Kid was beaming the whole walk back.

The lasagna was really good, and the happy hour deal made it even better. Nice spot right on the marina, easy to just sit back and enjoy the view.

We stopped in for lunch and I really liked the piri piri chicken, had a proper kick to it. The ceviche was fresh too. Service was a bit slow even though it wasn't busy, but the food made up for it. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

Fresh fish grill was solid — cod, salmon, prawn, and dorado all cooked right. Homemade potatoes on the side hit the spot. Nothing fancy, but good casual meal.

Stumbled onto this place on the steps in Carvoeiro. The cataplana was loaded with fresh seafood, easily enough for two. We grabbed a bottle of their house red, nothing fancy but it did the job with the shellfish. Service was laid-back and friendly. Only thing, the wine list is pretty short, but what they have works.

Came here twice in one week, that pretty much sums it up. Family-run spot, owner actually sat down and told us the story behind the place. Nice touch. The wine list is short but well picked, went well with the grilled fish.
