Helena plate and chicken salad were solid. Chips were good, and the welcome drink had a real kick. Nice touch, though service could've been a bit faster.

Food was solid and the interior's really nice, but our order got mixed up—one main showed up way late, almost when the others were finishing dessert. Would've been better with a proper wine pairing suggestion to smooth things over.

We stopped by on a Saturday night without a reservation—big mistake. Place was packed, but they squeezed us in after a short wait. The young staff handled the chaos well, honestly. Had the regional plate, ingredients tasted properly fresh. Only wish they'd told us the kitchen was running behind before we ordered. Took a while for the mains to arrive. Still, decent spot if you book ahead.

Came here for a quick dinner. Food was solid, nothing fancy but done right. Service was fast and friendly, got my order without any hassle. Portion size felt fair for the price. Would stop by again if I'm in the area.

The Masala Dosa here is solid—CHF 9.50 with sambar and chutney, pretty fair for Basel. They've got idli and vada all day too. Staff was friendly, didn't have to wait long.

Lovely rustic-modern vibe with a fireplace – really cozy. The wine pairing was spot on, and honestly the price felt fair for what you get.

The fried carp special was the highlight. You could really taste the freshness of the fish, it was cooked perfectly. The portion was generous too, which I appreciate. A solid choice for a healthy, satisfying meal.

Stopped by for dinner and honestly the pasta tasted like it came straight from Italy. Had the truffle tagliatelle, pretty rich but good. Place looks classy inside, not too loud. Service was fine, guy checked on us a couple times. Bit pricey for what it is, but I'd sit at the bar again.

We stopped in after seeing the cathedral, and it was a decent pick. I had the lamb fillet, cooked just right, and the vegetarian penne had good flavor. Our waiter was friendly, cracked a few jokes that made things feel easy. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. Maybe a bit busy around midday, but we didn't have to wait long.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Summer bowl was fresh, looked nice on the plate. Staff spoke English, which helped. Menu's got enough options. Place was decent, nothing crazy. Fine if you're in the area and want something light.

The chimichurri burrito was honestly the highlight for me. So many vegan options on the menu, which is rare to find around here. Cocktails were decent too, nothing crazy but they did the job. Place was a bit busy when I went, but the food came out quick enough. Would go back just for that burrito again.

The handwritten menu is a nice touch, kinda rare these days. Started with the burrata, really fresh. Tiramisu was the right call to finish, not too sweet. Place was pretty busy for a Tuesday but service kept up fine. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The salmon lasagna was the standout—rich, creamy, exactly what I needed. The tagliatelle though, way too salty, almost watery. Weird contrast. Place itself feels nice, casual, not too loud. I’d go back just for that lasagna, maybe skip the pasta next time. Prices fair for what you get.

The staff here are what I remember most. The owner actually came by our table, and the Brazilian waiter was super patient with all our questions. They handled a small request without any fuss. Felt genuinely looked after, not just rushed through. Place was busy but they kept it chill. Solid spot.

Nice terrace right on Münsterplatz. Sun stays there all afternoon, perfect for a beer and Flammkuchen. Service was quick too.

The fish soup was the star—rich, deep flavor. Chocolate moelleux hit the spot too. Pricey for small portions though.

The terrace is the main reason we keep coming back. Sat outside on a warm evening and the vibe was genuinely French, not trying too hard. Food was solid, but honestly the dessert tray is where they shine. Portions are decent for the price, though I wouldn't say it's cheap. Just a nice spot to linger over coffee after.

Everything’s cooked fresh so you’ll wait a little, but honestly the salmon with risotto was worth it. Fish soup was hearty too, hit the spot on a cold day. Just remember they’re shut Sundays and Mondays, and it’s cash only. The seating’s a bit tight but I didn’t mind much.

The bun bo here is the real deal. Broth’s got that deep, slow-cooked flavor, and the beef is actually tender. Had the fried noodles too, decent but the bun bo’s the one I’d come back for. Place gets busy, but the food comes out fast enough. Solid pick in Markthalle if you need a quick fix.

The Basler Gold here is properly rich—one slice and you’re set for the day. Not many places carry it, so I make a point to stop by when I’m in the area. The tram stop right outside helps too, easy to grab something and go. Just mind the sugar level if you’re not used to it.

Lucky to find this place open on a quiet evening. Food was solid, and the service felt real, not forced. Portions could be bigger for the price, but overall decent.

Good quick bite. Prices are fair for what you get. Got the chicken sandwich, came out fast. Perfect for a short lunch break.

Service was quick and friendly. The call button at the table is a nice touch, didn’t have to wave anyone down. Drinks came fast, plates cleared right away. Solid spot.

Came here for the first time and honestly the food was solid, but the portions felt a bit small for what you pay. The waiter kept replying in English even though I started in German, which was a little odd. Nice vibe inside, but it got pretty busy. Decent meal, just not sure I’d rush back.

The truffle pasta was the standout — rich but not too heavy. Service was a bit slow, but the vibe made up for it.

Came here with a group of 12 and honestly impressed how smooth it went. Every single dish arrived hot and basically at the same time, which never happens with big tables. Food was well-prepared, nothing fancy but solid. Service felt genuine, not forced. Would come back for sure.

The food was pretty good, and the price is decent for what you get. The lighting was a bit too dim for my liking, but overall a fine spot for a casual dinner.

The pastrami sandwich definitely lived up to the hype. Big portion, fair price for Basel, and the meat was super tender. Would come back just for that.

Tried their pizza for the first time. The crust was perfectly chewy and the toppings were so fresh. The place is tiny, but that just adds to the cozy vibe. Really enjoyed it.
