The service and atmosphere are really very good, but the food is the highlight: the recipes, the ingredients, and the care taken in the preparation are fantastic.

Due to having a dog with us, the table was on the terrace, which was fine apart from an extremely high number of flies. The food was good but on one plate fries were limp and soft, but o another hot and crispy.

I had my birthday celebration at Ilh&eacute;u. Gathered family and friends and everyone was happy with food, service, and the whole experience.  Expect a family managed place, not so big but large enough for groups. The food, homemade type but traditional from Madeira island. We had mainly &quot;espetadas&quot; - delicious tender meat, well seasoned, grilled to the point.  Of course we had to go for Poncha as starter drink and sangria. To have that Madeira feeling, we couldn&#39;t miss the traditional &quot;bolo-do-caco&quot;. We thank this lovely family for their friendly service, attentive to our requests and for the wonderful food experience. There was more but you must go visit O Ilh&eacute;u and find out the other secrets, no regrets!

Besides a salad which, in my opinion, was a bit dull everything else was exceptionally good. I would mention the desert (chocolate cake?) which was indeed very special.

The pastel de nata here is absolutely the best I&#39;ve ever had! The rich custard filling is to die for, and I could eat them all day long.

Very cute, eclectic place. Service was great, food was good. We had bagel with salmon, portion was generous and salmon and cream cheese were great, but I would not say bagel was fantastic, but it is also hard to find places in Lisbon with artesanal bagels we used to. My husbands meal was pork which was good. Chocolate cake was ok. We will come back for sure for a drink and atmosphere, but most likely not food as food quality and price you pay for it...did not do it for us cause we live in Lisbon and comparing it to the food quality and prices of local places here.

Everything but had problem in the kitchen with the pancakes. We were the first ones and we didn&rsquo;t wanted to wait so we just choose something else.

Great staff, but with a very busy night the service was a bit delayed; nevertheless the friendliness of the staff is very polite.

Though the prices are quite high at this fine dining hotel restaurant, the preparation and flavor really deliver. We were a party of six and wanted just a light meal so ordered 4 of the 7 items on the starters menu. Not only were they delicious and perfect for our hunger level but we also enjoyed more of the other small items like dessert and cocktails because of it. We definitely will be back

The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were helpful to us as visitors to Lisbon.  We were trying Portuguese dishes.  I had the codfish - chef style, and it was delicious.  My husband had the sea bass in a tasty broth.  Desserts were spot on.  We had red summer sangria which was perfect for the summer evening.The prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the quality that we had.  Highly recommend this place.

The second-floor terrace provides a beautiful view and is a great spot for taking pictures while enjoying some tasty past&eacute;is de nata.

The food was actually very good, nevertheless while making the reservation was not notified about the maximum time you could spend in the table - rushing us a bit to order so the next reservation could be sit.

This is such a gorgeous location, tucked away on the edge of campo d&#39;Ourique, and when you enter you see it really is a little winter garden at the back of the building which houses most of the restaurants tables. They have some patio heaters dotted around in the ceiling, so it&#39;s comfortable. But, with the lighting, the outdoor air, it&#39;s a great start. The welcome and service were also excellent throughout, whether it was our great waitress or the manager who assisted a couple times, it was the right blend of familiar friendliness and professionalism. Food was excellent, a smallish menu, and some things were not sold out, denoting that they use fresh produce, and this was in evidence in the taste, too. Lots of French wine at different price points and some interesting, original cocktails topped it off. Very good. We&#39;ll be back.
