Porto Covo Portugal
Dreaming of a peaceful escape? 🌞 I headed to Porto Covo, and trust me, these spots are pure therapy for your soul.Porto Covo really stole my heart — this sleepy Portuguese village is where life shifts to slow motion. 😍 If you crave total disconnection from city madness, here’s how to do it right!
Top Spots to Visit:
Porto Covo Village
Address: 7520, Sines, Portugal
Arrive, drop your bags, and just walk everywhere. Chill on the little town beach, sip local coffee at Praça Marquês de Pombal (main square), and let the slow living work its magic. If you want to reconnect with yourself or loved ones, this is THE place.
Pro Tips:
– Porto Covo: Leave your watch. Days blend together here! Rent a bike or walk and get lost; it’s all about unwinding.
Getting Around: Porto Covo’s compact streets are made for walking.
Food: Don’t miss grilled octopus at Porto Covo beachside taverns and fresh local food

Ilha de Pessegueiro Portugal
Roaming through Portugal’s rugged coast? Porto Covo is where you want to be! 🌊☀️ The highlight for me was hiking out to Ilha de Pessegueiro — about 40-60 minutes’ walk from town — and unwinding right in front of its endless, sandy beach with island views in the distance. Absolute summer daydream!
Must-See Spots:
1. Ilha de Pessegueiro: Take the well-marked walking trail from Porto Covo and you’ll discover sandy shores, rolling waves, and endless views. Bring sunscreen: There’s almost no shade, but the serenity is worth it!
2. Parque de Campismo da Ilha do Pessegueiro (Estrada da Ilha): Sleep right by the ocean! This simple campsite puts you steps from the water, so wake up early for a sunrise stroll before the crowds.
Practical Tip: The hike from Porto Covo is easy but bring solid shoes since paths can get rocky. If you want a peaceful beach experience, start before midday — afternoons get busier.
How To Get Around:
Most spots are walkable! If you’re carrying gear or camping equipment, consider a local taxi for the last stretch. The main road (Estrada da Ilha) is the route to the campsite.
Eat & Drink:
Head back to Porto Covo village for casual seafood (try grilled sardines at local cafés!) and sweet pastries. No big supermarkets, so pick up snacks in advance for camp days.
Extra Tips: Midsummer here is hot and dry; pack layers for the wind. The only cash machine is in Porto Covo village, so plan accordingly.
