The maitake mushroom tempura was my favorite! So crispy and the cheese inside was a nice surprise. 😋

I was dining alone and the counter seat was perfect for that. They even have a special menu just for solo diners, which I really appreciated. The non-alcoholic options were also quite nice. A very comfortable spot for a quiet meal.

The nodoguro and wagyu were so good! We ordered a bottle of Gassan sake to share with friends, and it was a great match. The vibe was relaxed, perfect for catching up. Just a heads up, the portions are on the smaller side, so maybe order a few extra plates if you're hungry.

The lunch buffet is a great value at 2,400 yen per person, providing an excellent opportunity to indulge in a variety of dishes, including delicious clam soup and steak.

I was impressed by the quality of the Shimane Wagyu beef; it was perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the mustard sauce.

Came here with a few friends for a casual dinner. The clam miso soup was the highlight, the broth had such a deep, savory flavor. Everyone at the table agreed. The clam bowl was good too, but that soup is what I'll remember. Perfect for sharing and chatting over.

Decent spot by the station. The menu's huge, which is nice. Had the sashimi platter — fish was fresh. Tried a local sake with it, worked well. Service was a bit slow though.

Stumbled upon this spot near Tamatsukuri Onsen. That heart-shaped grill plate is adorable. The Wagyu was cooked just right, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. Still tasty though.

The omelet rice here was a nice surprise. The ketchup rice inside had a really good buttery taste, and the egg was cooked just right, not too runny. Simple but satisfying.

Grabbed the wariko soba here with a friend before our train. It's right inside Matsue Station, super handy! The noodles were really firm and chewy, and the broth was so rich. Perfect for a quick catch-up meal.

The staff were so helpful, even gave us a lift from the train station. Made getting settled a breeze.

The staff were so considerate, refilling my water glass before I even noticed it was low. They also brought out a small plate of fresh veggies without me asking, which was a nice touch. It felt very thoughtful.
