Been coming here for years. It's a proper local spot, always spotless. Gets packed by 10am, so you have to be early for a seat. The portions are huge, though, no complaints there.

That lamb curry was something else. The spices were so fragrant and the meat just fell apart. Honestly, it's ruined other curries for me now. The whole place had a really nice, relaxed vibe too.

Their granary sandwiches are a real winner. The bread is thick and nutty, and they pack it with fillings. Had the tuna and coleslaw today – really hit the spot.

The fish and chips were huge and really hit the spot for our group catch-up! A bit on the pricier side, but worth it for the portion.

The staff are really friendly and clearly love what they do. They suggested a lovely wine that paired perfectly with my main course.

Been coming here for years, it's our go-to family spot. The space always feels so cosy and inviting, especially on a chilly evening. Just the right kind of warm lighting and comfortable booths.

The Sunday roast is a proper, local affair. The beef was spot on, and the generous jug of gravy was a nice touch. My only gripe? The wine list felt a bit limited for a roast of this calibre. Still, a solid choice for a lazy Sunday.

Really appreciate the generous portions here. The fish and chips were perfectly crispy, and the side salad was actually fresh, not just an afterthought. It's nice to find a pub that doesn't skimp on the greens. Felt like a proper, filling meal.

Popped in for lunch, it's a cosy spot and was packed. Had the fish and chips, crispy batter and the chips were proper. Took a while to get a seat but the vibe was nice.

The team here are so lovely and really on it. They remembered our drinks order from last time, which was a nice touch. Made our little catch-up feel a bit more special. Service was spot-on all evening.

Popped in on a whim. The space felt so clean and calm. Food came out really fast, which was nice. But the music… it was a bit too loud for a quiet chat.

Charlene was so lovely! Made our girls' night feel extra special. The pizza buffet is a solid choice for a catch-up - loads of fresh slices and the salad bar is endless. Just a bit noisy when it gets busy, but that's the vibe.

Been coming here for years. The chips and gravy are the one thing I always order. They're just consistently good, and the portion is decent for the price. That's why I keep coming back.

The team was so kind, even when they had to close early. The salad was still incredibly fresh, which I really appreciate.

Been coming here for years, the weekday banquet is always a solid choice. Portions are just right, nothing fancy but cooked properly every time. Staff are friendly, they remember you.

The chips are so good! Not greasy, perfectly crispy. They really make the fish. Great for sharing with friends.

Popped in for a quick bite while shopping. The chicken and avocado sandwich was fresh, really hit the spot. Coffee was decent too. Just a bit cramped inside when it gets busy, but fine for a short stop.

Came for a midweek dinner. The set menu was a solid deal - starter, main, and a glass of house wine for under £25. Portions were decent, nothing fancy but you leave full. Staff were really attentive, which was nice.

Loved the afternoon tea here! The mini fish and chips were a fun surprise - crispy batter, proper chips. A nice twist on the usual scones.

Booked for a busy Saturday night. The food was solid, service kept up even when packed. Felt like a fair price for what we got.

Booked the Christmas dinner set in advance. The food was hearty, like a proper home-cooked meal. The price for the whole set was very fair considering the portion sizes. Everything was warm and welcoming, just what you want for the holiday.

Been coming here for ages, and the portions are still huge! The new lamb shank special was so tender it just fell off the bone. Honestly, you never leave hungry. Staff are lovely as always.

The curries are a steal, and the thinly sliced chicken lets the sauce take centre stage. Their house lager was a surprisingly good match.
