The spaghetti ice cream really got me. Real strawberry puree instead of that sugary syrup stuff. You can taste the difference immediately. Portion was decent for the price too. Place was a bit busy but whatever. I'd come back just for that.

Despite some minor issues, the restaurant's food quality stood out, and the overall experience at the thermal spa was enjoyable.

The pizza diavolo was really good—fresh out the oven, loaded with toppings, not too heavy. We came with a group of 14 and they managed it fine, no chaos. Prices felt fair for what you get. Solid local spot, I'd go back for that pizza alone.

Hearty food, decent portions for what you pay. Just keep in mind it's cash only—nearest ATM is a short walk across the plaza. Slightly annoying but not a dealbreaker. The seating was comfortable enough that I didn't mind staying a bit longer. Would come back if I'm in the area and remember to bring cash.

The grilled meat was pretty good—juicy and well-seasoned. Watching them cook it over the charcoal was a nice touch. Just wish the portion had been a bit bigger.

The owner really knows how to make you feel welcome, even with special requests. Place has that old-school charm, like stepping back a few decades. Solid spot if you're after something personal.

We’ve been coming here for years, and it’s still our go-to spot. The food is always solid, and the wine list has plenty to choose from. What really stands out is how the family treats you—like you’re a regular even if you’re not. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but that’s a small thing.

Stopped here on a whim and honestly it was better than expected. The salad was fresh, not the sad limp stuff you sometimes get. Courtyard seating is nice and shady, good for a slow afternoon. Only thing is the service was a bit slow, but I wasn't in a hurry anyway.

Cozy spot, good for a casual lunch. Ordered the steak frites. Steak was cooked as requested, fries were crisp. Service was prompt. The location is convenient, just a short walk from the metro. Prices are reasonable for the area.

The pork knuckle was the real deal. Crispy skin, tender inside, proper mustard on the side. Had it twice now, same quality both times. The homemade lemonade cut through the richness nicely. That's about all I need from a place like this.

Tasting menu was solid, the wine pairing really worked. Chef's doing some interesting stuff. Place got a bit loud later though.

Dining inside a castle ruin was pretty cool, not gonna lie. I went for the meat dishes and they didn't disappoint. The seasonal asparagus soup was a nice touch too. Staff were friendly enough. Just a heads up, it's a bit on the pricier side, but for the setting, I get it.

The homemade mango lemonade was the best thing I ordered — really refreshing, not too sweet. Sat outside for a while just watching people go by, which was nice. The seating is a bit cramped if you're tall, but it's fine for a quick drink. Good spot if you're in the city center and need a break.

The pork loin with chanterelles was solid, and the schnitzel in Bolognese sauce hit the spot. Appetizer platter was a nice way to kick things off. Service was friendly, though the seating felt a bit cramped.

The linguine with scampi was really good—that sauce had something special to it. My friend ordered the beef fillet in green pepper sauce and it was cooked properly too. Place is about ten minutes from Bismarckplatz, which worked fine for us. Service was friendly enough, nothing to complain about. I'd sit outside again if the weather allows.

Been coming here for a while now. The goulash curry is still my go-to, never disappoints. Had the burrito wrap this time, decent too. Portions feel a bit small for what you pay, but the quality keeps me coming back. Just wish they'd be a little more generous with the plate.

The butter chicken had that deep, slow-cooked flavor you don't find often. Spices were on point, not too heavy. I ordered a mango lassi on the side—worked better with the heat than any wine would have. Naan was fresh, good for scooping up the sauce. Place gets busy around 7, so go a bit earlier if you want a quiet table.

We went for dinner on a weekday evening. I had the duck breast, it was cooked really nicely. You can tell they use good, fresh ingredients here. The sauce had that classic French touch, not too heavy. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality of the produce comes through. Portion size was decent for the price.

The lunch specials are honestly a solid deal. Pizza came out quick with that nice thin crust I like. Staff was friendly without hovering, which I appreciate. Place got pretty busy around noon, but the service kept up fine. Only small thing—the tables are a bit close together, so you hear your neighbors' conversations. Still, for a casual lunch, it did the job.

The food was really good, and the staff were so friendly. I sat outside, which was lovely for a summer evening. Service was a bit slow, but I didn't mind since I wasn't in a hurry. Just a nice, easy place to have dinner.

Decent spot for beer in Karlsruhe. Interior's well done, one of the classier options around. Food's hit or miss though. Good if you want to try something new each time.

The pizza was fluffy, really good. Pasta solid too. They let me swap out an ingredient without any fuss. Nice little spot to stumble on after a long ride.

The grilled octopus was properly charred and tender, and that homemade tzatziki really stood out. They also brought out complimentary olives, bread, and a little ouzo at the end which was a nice touch. Service was friendly but a bit slow between courses. Still, I'd come back for that octopus.

A tasty and affordable culinary experience

The homemade pasta was the highlight — you can taste the care in every bite. Service gets a bit slow when it's busy, but worth the wait.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Schnitzel was crispy, exactly what I needed. Staff chatted with me while I waited, food came out fast. The Italian salad dressing had a nice kick to it. Place was a bit busy but fine. Solid if you're in the area and want something simple.

The tagliatelle al ragù was properly rich and the pasta had real bite. Prices are fair for the portion. That's what matters.
