Lovely old tea room, the exposed beams are gorgeous. The menu tells the story of the building which was a nice touch. I really appreciated that they had a good selection of herbal teas, felt like a proper treat.

Great spot for dog owners. Plenty of parking. Staff were really friendly. Food's proper pub grub, big portions. My dog loved it too.

The coffee here is solid. Americano had no burnt taste, which is a win for me. The bakery display is a nice touch, makes picking a pastry easy. Grabbed a croissant to go.

Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant was clean. Location worked well for my hotel. That’s it. 👍

Popped in for brunch. The avocado toast was spot on, really fresh. Sat out on the terrace, nice and sunny. Good way to spend a lazy morning.

Perfect for a special dinner. The presentation is stunning, really took the time with each plate. The scallop starter was spot on, and the lamb main was cooked just right. Service was attentive without being overbearing. A bit on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for.

Loved the cakes here, they're not overly sweet at all. Perfect for a little catch-up with friends over coffee. We shared a slice of the lemon drizzle and it was just right.

The non-alcoholic pairing was the highlight. Really creative drinks that matched each course.

Popped in for a quick one and ended up staying for three. The 'Stinging Roger's' cocktail is a proper treat – sharp, a bit spicy, and just fun. My new go-to for a casual drink in Bristol.

The staff are so good with kids, and service is always quick. It's become our go-to for family dinners. Portions are generous for the price, which is a huge plus when you're feeding a family. We usually get the kids' pasta and a couple of pizzas to share.

The beef shin ragu was so good. I'd happily come back just for that. The menu looked great, seeing other dishes go by made me want to try more. A comfortable spot for a quiet meal.

Popped in for a pint with mates. The beer garden's view over Bristol is the real draw. Had those festive roasties with gravy and truffle oil. They were spot on, really tasty. Good spot for a casual drink.

Popped in for a spanakopita and a freddo cappuccino. The pastry was perfectly flaky, and that iced coffee was the ideal pick-me-up for a stroll. A solid spot for a quick, authentic bite. They had a nice Greek beer on the menu too, which I'll try next time.

Been coming here for years, and the outdoor seating is still my favourite spot. It's just a really nice place to unwind with a pint when the sun's out. The vibe is consistently good, which is what keeps me coming back.

Veggie Imitator Wrap with extra hot sauce. Exactly what I needed for a quick lunch. Spice level was spot on, really tasty. Got it to go and they had it ready in minutes. Perfect for when you're in a rush.

Nice spot after the refurb. The new decor is warm, makes it easy to relax with a drink. Came in for a quick bite and ended up staying a while.

A nice place for a drink. The seating is really comfortable, which I appreciate. The interior has some lovely details, like the bookshelves and coloured glass. It's a relaxing spot to unwind.

They handled the pescatarian tasting menu adjustments really well. Everything felt natural, not like an afterthought.

The tacos and wrap were cold, which was a shame. The drinks were good though, and the place has a nice, lively vibe.

The service at Canon was exceptional, especially from Oliver and Will, who were attentive to our needs and made sure we felt comfortable with our allergies.

The gelato was really smooth and creamy, just like you'd get in Italy. The chocolate sorbetto was a nice surprise, quite rich. A bit on the pricey side, but it's a decent treat.

The mushroom masala was the standout. The mushrooms had a surprisingly meaty texture that held up well, and the heat from the spices was just right—warming, not overwhelming. The popadoms came pre-broken into ideal pieces for the chutneys. A solid choice for the vegetarian options.

Love that they have outdoor tables and are dog-friendly! Plenty of space for our group and my pup. It was a bit loud from the street, but we still had a good catch-up. Perfect for a casual hangout with friends.

Been coming here for years, and the soup is always just right. Thick, flavourful, and always hot. It's the one thing I know I can count on.

Booked ahead for afternoon tea, which was a good idea as it's a cosy spot. The service was polite and professional, they handled our preferences without any fuss. The scones were decent, though the clotted cream portion felt a bit modest. A pleasant experience overall.

Cosy spot, really liked the decor. Food came super quick, maybe 10 minutes after we ordered? The coffee was a highlight for me, really well made.

Julie and Alun were super helpful with my gluten-free options. Quick to suggest a few things, sorted me out fast. Made the whole lunch break easy.

The coffee is really good here. It's got a deep, smooth flavour without any bitterness. Just a solid cup. The owners are friendly too, which is a nice bonus.
