Found this place under the castle in Ballenstedt – such a cozy spot. Had coffee and a slice of cake, both were really good. Prices felt fair for what you get. The little aviary outside is a nice touch, adds something different. Maybe not a destination on its own, but if you're in the area, it's worth stopping by.

Stopped by with our dog, they brought water out before we even ordered. That kind of thing sticks with you. Food was solid, service efficient. Nothing fancy, but you don't need fancy when the basics are done right. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

The duck here was seriously good—crispy skin, tender meat, no complaints at all. We sat outside and a hummingbird actually came by while we were eating, which felt pretty special. Coconut rice on the side was a nice touch too. Place gets a bit busy around noon, but worth it.

The baumkuchen here is solid — tried the classic one and it was fresh, not too dry. Portion was decent for the price. The little museum corner is a nice bonus if you're already in Quedlinburg.

We sat outside under the chestnut tree, and they brought water for our dog right away. The shakshuka was fresh, tomatoes tasted really ripe. Nice spot if you have a pup with you.

Been coming here for a while now, and the marzipan poppy seed cake still gets me every time. Coffee's consistent too, which is honestly the main reason I keep coming back. Place gets a bit busy around midday, but that's fine. Staff let you sit without rushing you. Solid spot if you just need a quiet break.

Stumbled in here without expecting much. Schnitzel was solid, owner actually came by to check on us. Place felt like a proper neighborhood spot.

Friendly service and the beer garden really made it easy to relax. Menu is small but the food was solid. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable.

The tarte flambée here caught me off guard, in a good way. Thin, crispy, just the right amount of toppings. I grabbed a spot by the window and it felt cozy, not pretentious. Tea list is solid too, though I wish they had one more herbal option. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The cakes were pretty good and the courtyard seating is a nice spot to relax. Service was friendly too. Just wish they had a bit more variety on the menu.

The homemade waffle cone made the ice cream even better—rich and creamy, exactly how it should be. Service kept things moving despite the crowd.
