The steak and ale pie was the highlight. The pastry was flaky and buttery, the filling rich with tender beef and a deep, savoury gravy. Could have used a few more chunks of meat, but the flavour was spot on. That's what I came for.

They're so dog-friendly! Brought my pup and they gave him a little treat. Best part? You can grab fish and chips from the place next door and eat them here. Perfect for a casual catch-up with friends.

Service was spot on. Sophie and the team were really helpful with the menu, knew their stuff. Made a big difference to the meal.

The breakfast was tasty. The eggs were cooked just right, the bacon crispy. Good portion for the price. Service was fine.

Popped in for a quick pint and ended up staying for dinner. The steak and ale pie was proper comfort food - rich gravy and really tender beef. Just what you need on a damp evening.

A nice spot with a decent buzz. The building itself is lovely and historic. The staff were friendly and knew a bit about the pub's past, which was a nice touch. Food was fine, though the service was a little slow.

The Hour Glass is a charming, historic pub with a cozy atmosphere and friendly bar staff. It's a great spot for a pint and chat, especially on a Saturday lunchtime.

The ale selection is a real treat. Everything arrived piping hot, even through the app. Just a bit pricey for the portions, but the drinks are fairly priced.

Went on a karaoke night with my friends, such a fun vibe! The staff were really friendly and it was the perfect spot for a casual catch-up. The music was a bit loud for chatting at our table, but we just moved closer to the bar. Would definitely go back for another karaoke session.

Really liked the Thai veggie burger here, loads of flavour and the chips were spot on. My friend's lasagne looked good too, nice cheesy top. Service was quick, which was a plus on a busy Friday. Ales were well-kept. Solid pub grub.

Prices are so fair for the harbour views! The grilled fish was spot on, really fresh. Just a bit of a wait for the bill, but honestly, with that setting, I didn't mind too much.

Been coming here for years. Staff are always friendly, they handled our big family group without any fuss. Service is solid, you can rely on it.

The Sunday carvery is a solid deal. You get a good plateful with a few meat choices and all the veg. Gravy was spot on. I went for the beef and it was a decent portion for the price.

This pub is a great local spot with friendly staff and a nice selection of beers. I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning with friends soon.

The coffee refills are free, which is nice. But honestly, the food tastes like it's cheap. It's just... fine. Not much else to say about it.

Been coming here for years. The halloumi fries are always spot on - crispy outside, soft inside, never greasy. That's what keeps me coming back.

The cod was fresh and flaky, the batter crisp. Chips were proper, not greasy. Service was spot-on and genuinely friendly. It’s a proper local pub, full of families making a nice buzz. A solid meal.

Lovely spot for a catch-up with friends. The nautical theme is so cosy, and the staff are genuinely friendly. They even remembered my friend's usual order! Made it feel like a proper local.

Been coming here for years, and the portions are still generous. Prices haven't gone crazy either, which is a relief these days. You're really paying for that view, and it's always worth it.

A reliable spot for a quick breakfast. The coffee is good, and the service is efficient even when it's busy. I appreciate how they keep things moving smoothly, so you're never waiting too long for a table or your order. Makes for a very easy, comfortable meal.

Their Sunday roast is a proper one. The pork belly was spot on - tender, with a good bit of crackling. All the trimmings were there, and done right. One of the better pub roasts I’ve had in a while.

Been coming here for years, and the old meeting house vibe never gets old. Perfect spot in the city centre when you're with a group.

The ingredients were so fresh, you could really taste it in every dish. Loved the thoughtful flavour combinations, especially in the seasonal salad. A very relaxed spot for a healthy meal. The wine list had some nice organic options too.

The cocktails were the real star for me. I tried their signature 'Smoky Negroni' and the balance was spot on - not too bitter, with a really nice herbal finish. Great vibe for a Friday night with mates. 🍸

Been coming here for years. It's a proper old pub, not one of those fancy tourist spots. Low ceilings, dark wood, feels like it's been here forever. Just off the main drag so it's a bit quieter.

Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding was solid, generous portions. The vegan nut roast is a decent option too. Service was efficient, got us in and out for a business lunch.

The festive platter was lovely for sharing. The main courses were a bit hit or miss, but the portions are satisfying.

I popped in for a light lunch and was really impressed by the freshness of the salad ingredients. The greens were crisp, and the chicken tasted properly grilled, not just reheated. The table service app made ordering easy, and it arrived quickly even when the bar area got a bit crowded. A solid choice for a simple, fresh meal.
