The unagi maki were good, and the tempura came with a lot of rice. Service was friendly, but 40 minutes for the food felt a bit long.

Lovely Italian place with a proper old-school feel. Service was really attentive, and we had a nice view of the Christmas market from our table. Just wish we'd booked a bit earlier to get a spot by the window.

Came for dinner and the waiter totally saved us with the German menu. Schnitzel was solid, crispy and exactly what I needed. Place was busy but we never felt rushed. Only thing—I wish they had more sauce on the side. Would go back for that dish alone.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Location is the main draw—right next to the narrow-gauge railway, kinda cool to watch while you eat. Service was fast, no waiting around. Beer garden's decent for a chill break. Food did the job, nothing fancy but fine for a bite. Prices fair for what you get. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something quick.

Ribeye was spot on. Cooked rare like I asked, super tender. The beef tea thing is weird but good, kinda like a savory broth. Worth grabbing if you're curious. Place was busy but we got a table quick enough. Solid spot for a steak fix.

Been going here for years. Still my favorite spot in Braunschweig. Owner's usually around in the evening, makes you feel at home. Mussels are the standout — but only in months with an "R". Solid choice if you're in the area.

The food was really good and the staff knew what they were doing. Even though the place was packed, we got our table fast. For the quality, the price felt fair. I'd say it's a solid spot if you're in the area. Maybe not mind-blowing, but dependable.

Been coming here for a while now. The terrace is still my go-to spot when the weather’s good. Prices are fair, portions are solid. Just wish they’d take card, always gotta remember to hit the ATM before. Traffic can get a bit loud if you’re sitting out front, but you get used to it.

Currywurst was solid, right in the old town. Easy stop if you're walking around. No complaints.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Got the schnitzel, it was solid and came out fast. Place was busy but not chaotic. Fine if you're in the area and hungry. Might try the currywurst next time.

The knafeh was solid. Crispy outside, soft inside, not too sweet. I asked for sour cream on the side and that worked well. Place was a bit busy but fine. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The pistachio sundae and tartufo were seriously good, easily a 10/10. Owners were lovely too, made the whole stop feel easy and welcoming.

Charming spot right in the historic center with that classic Bavarian vibe. We sat near the window and it was quite comfortable. A relaxed dinner without any fuss.

The crispy duck was really good—properly crispy, not dry, and the sauce had decent flavor. Portion size was fair for the price, which I appreciated. Sat on the terrace in summer, nice spot. Can't say much about winter, but I'd imagine you'd want a reservation. Just wish the duck came with more pancakes.

Pricey, but the ingredients were solid and service matched. Felt like paying for the whole experience, not just the food.

Breakfast was fine, kids liked the play corner. Toilets clean too. Price went up a bit though, still decent for what you get.

The owner stopped by our table himself. Felt genuine, not staged. Gyros was lean, well-seasoned. The feta in puff pastry though — that was the highlight. Warm, flaky, salty just right. Wish I had ordered two of those instead.

Service was solid - staff kept checking in without hovering. Nice vibe inside. Food was okay, nothing crazy. Might try something else on the menu next time.

The blueberry schnitzel (Harzer Blaubeerschmandschnitzel) was the reason I came, and it didn't disappoint. Sweet and savory, worked better than I expected. Place was packed on a Tuesday night, so service was a bit stretched, but nothing unreasonable. If you're in the area and want something off the usual menu, it's a solid stop.

We came with a bigger group and they managed it really well. Even though the place was full, the staff stayed friendly and we never felt pushed to leave. That kind of calm service is not something you see everywhere. I appreciated that a lot. Just a small note, it got a bit loud at times, but that's expected when it's that busy.

The Teufels-Schnitzel was really good and didn’t take long to come out. Service was friendly without hovering. Solid spot if you want a no-fuss meal.

The tarte flambée was really good—crispy edges, just the right amount of onion. Staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made the whole thing feel easy. Place is small and relaxed, no fuss. Wouldn’t mind going back if I’m in the area again.

Walked in without a booking on a packed Saturday. Owner still found us a table, which I appreciated. Had the schnitzel and a local beer—solid, nothing fancy. Service was efficient, no long waits. Place was a bit loud, but that's expected when it's full. Fair price for what you get. Would stop by again if in the area.

Decent spot for a casual dinner. Had the schnitzel and it came out crispy, not greasy. Prices felt fair for what you get, though one of the mains was a bit small for the money. Place was busy but we got a table quick. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.

The seating was really comfortable, both inside and out. We ordered à la carte and the portions were generous. Food was tasty, though nothing mind-blowing. Service friendly enough.

Been coming here for years now. Food's always solid, staff actually remember you. Not the cheapest spot but you get what you pay for. Had the schnitzel again today, still as good as the first time. Place gets busy around 7 so come a bit earlier if you want a quiet table.

The vegan curry really stood out—fresh ingredients, not greasy at all. You can tell they put care into the food. Spice level was just right for me.

Food was decent and portions fair for the price. Waitress seemed a bit annoyed the whole time, kinda killed the vibe. Meal itself was fine though.

The Flammkuchen was really good, crispy and well topped. Place has nice local artwork on the walls. Service was friendly, though we waited a bit longer than expected for the bill.
