Fani really made the difference here. Super friendly, always around when you needed her, never had to wait long for anything. Just a genuinely nice vibe she brought to the table. Food was decent too, but honestly the service was the highlight. Left feeling pretty good about the whole thing.

Stumbled in here on a random evening. Place looks plain from the street, but the food was seriously good. Had the duck, cooked just right, not dry at all. Service was quick and left us alone, which I appreciate. Sat outside on the terrace, nice breeze. Only thing, the sides were a bit small for the price. Still, solid spot.

The pistachio scoop was proper creamy, not too sweet. Sat by the river watching boats go by, pretty chill spot. Got a double cone for under five euros, decent size. Place was a bit busy but the line moved fast. Would grab another one if I'm in the area again.

Solid Vietnamese spot. Ali was friendly and made the service feel easy. Food was decent, hit the spot without being over the top.

The pasta and fish were both really fresh, you can tell they make everything in-house. Plating looked nice too, not overdone. Service had that warm, personal touch that's getting harder to find. Prices felt fair for what you get, not cheap but you're paying for the quality. I'd go back for the seafood again.

Walked in and the fruit smell hit me right away. Got a smoothie, thick and cold, definitely real fruit. Staff helped me pick a combo, spot on.

The shrimp pizza was solid, but the Kürbis-Tortelloni really stood out. They even bring free bread beforehand, which was a nice touch.

The staff actually remembered my drink order from last time, which caught me off guard in a good way. I had the schnitzel again and it was crispy without being greasy. Place was a bit noisy around 7pm but the vibe is nice. Solid spot if you're in the area.

The tagliatelle al salmone was solid again—same quality as last time. Could use a bit more seasoning though, it was a little plain.

The lamb steak was decent, and the mussels were a good start. Portion size felt a bit small for what you pay, though. Staff were patient, which helped since my German isn't great. Nice spot, but I left still a little hungry.

The teriyaki tempura rolls really stood out—crispy and saucy, exactly what I wanted. Service was fast, perfect for a quick lunch stop.

Stopped by for a quick dinner. Menu is massive, took a while to decide. Went with the vegetarian starters—decent portions, flavors were solid. English menu available, staff handled the order without issues. Place was busy but service stayed efficient. Fair price for what you get. Would come back if I'm in Essen again.

The owner clearly cares about this place. He came by our table himself and talked us through the menu. Nice personal touch.

The pizza was decent, nothing crazy but it hit the spot. Place felt comfortable enough, I didn't feel rushed. Service was friendly, which I always appreciate. Just a solid spot for a casual bite if you're in the area and don't want to overthink it.

The sashimi here is always spot on—still as fresh as my first visit months ago. Tempura’s solid too. Just expect a short wait, but it’s worth it.

The Montepulciano was the highlight — really well chosen. Food matched up nicely too. Staff brought a slice of cake without asking, which was a nice touch. Only downside is the construction around the place, makes getting there a bit annoying. But the quality keeps me coming back.

The burrata was the standout. Creamy, fresh, slightly salty, perfect with the bread. Had the hazelnut crème brûlée after, also solid. Staff knew their wine list, gave a good match. Place was a bit loud but I didn't care. I'd go back just for that burrata.

We sat outside undercover and ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and the mega beef burger. The salad was fresh, chicken nicely grilled. Burger was juicy, maybe a bit messy but that's fine. Staff actually remembered us from our last visit, thought that was a nice touch. Portions are generous, I couldn't finish mine.

Solid schnitzel and a cold beer on the patio—that hit the spot. Portions are generous, though the coleslaw could use a bit more tang. Good spot for a casual lunch.

The lasagne was proper homemade, generous portion too. Had a glass of Chianti with it, worked really well with the meat sauce. Place had a decent buzz, nothing fancy but comfortable. Service was on point, didn't have to wait long. Only thing, it got a bit warm inside by the end.

Loved the carpaccio here, super fresh and the wine pairing was on point. Small spot though, so definitely book a table first. Good for a chill catch-up with friends. 😊

The steak platter was the highlight — cooked just right and full of flavor. The waiter seemed genuinely friendly, not just doing the job. Only wish we had more room to try the sides.

The outdoor seating is really nice, chill vibe. Food came out a bit cooler than I'd like, but that's kind of expected when you're sitting outside. Service felt a little rushed though, like they wanted to turn the table quickly. Still, I'd come back just for the atmosphere.

Tried this place for the first time and the flambéed goat cheese really stood out. Goose was tender too. Service felt just right, not hovering. Prices fair for what you get.

The menu is huge and the meat came out really tender. Portions are solid for the price. Service was a bit slow, but the food made up for it.

Came for dinner, ordered the schnitzel and a salad. Food was solid, really well cooked. But service was all over the place. Had to flag someone down for the menu, then again for drinks. The bread basket with herb butter? Never showed up until after the mains. Espresso got forgotten too. Bill took forever. Food saved the evening, but they need more staff on the floor.
