The menu had plenty of healthy options, which I appreciated. My salad was fresh, though the portion was almost too big for one person. Prices are a bit steep for what you get.

Big plates, decent prices, quality meat. That's basically all you need for a quick lunch. Got in and out fast, no fuss. Portion was solid for what you pay. Not fancy, but it does the job when you're hungry and short on time.

Solid selection and the service was quick. Portions felt fair for what you pay. Just a heads up, it gets loud on Saturday nights and seating is tight. Book ahead if you can.

Decent food, nothing crazy. River view from outside is the real highlight. Service was a bit all over the place though—took forever to get drinks and then the bill. Friendly enough, just chaotic. Would sit outside again for the sunset, but don't go if you're in a hurry.

The mixed grill was solid — meat cooked properly, decent quality for the price. Portions are generous, no question. They even threw in a small soup to start, which I didn't expect. Nothing fancy, but you leave full without feeling ripped off. I'd go back if I'm in the area again.

Found this spot on a side street - really cozy inside. Had the spare ribs and they were proper good. Staff left us alone but were there when needed.

Stopped here for lunch after wandering around the square. The beef bourguignon was properly tender, decent portion for the price. Terrace seating is nice, got a spot in the shade. Staff were on top of things even when it got busy. Solid choice if you're in the area and want something easy.

Stopped by for coffee and a slice of pie—staff were super friendly, even helped us pick since we don’t speak Dutch. The pie was solid, though I wish the portion was a bit bigger. Coffee did the job too. Nice little spot if you’re in the area.

The truffle pasta from the cheese wheel was the move — rich, creamy, exactly what I wanted with a glass of red. Wish the portion was a bit bigger though.

We stopped by for a quick dinner and I finally tried their lamb chops—really juicy, nicely seasoned. The playground in the beer garden is a solid bonus, kids ran off and we actually got to eat in peace. Service was friendly, though it got a bit busy later. Definitely coming back.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Staff were friendly, got me seated right away. Even threw in a free ouzo at the end, which was a nice touch. Food came out fast, no waiting around. Solid spot if you need a decent bite without the fuss.

Been coming here for a while now. Place is big, right in the middle of Essen, easy to find. Last time we asked for something off-menu, homemade lemonade, and they just made it happen. That's why I keep coming back. Not the fanciest spot, but they treat you right. Consistent, you know?

Stopped here after cycling for hours. The soup and potato gratin hit the spot. Portion was decent for the price, not huge but fair. Waitress spoke English which made ordering easy. Place was a bit quiet but fine for a quick refuel. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The bacon-wrapped prawns were the highlight honestly. Cactus soup was a nice surprise too, pretty unique. I had the mixed grill and my friend got the tuna, both cooked properly. Place was busy but we got our food quick enough. Would come back for those prawns again.

The veggie pizza and curry were the real highlights—the crust had that perfect chew, and the curry was properly spiced. Iced tea list is solid too, great for cooling down. Place had a nice buzz, though it got a bit loud later. Would come back for that pizza alone.

Solid spot for a work dinner. Food was good, service attentive without hovering. Place is clean and well-furnished, decent for a business meeting. My steak came out right, though the sides were a bit standard. Not cheap, but you pay for the convenience and the setting. I'd use it again if I need to host clients nearby.

Service was friendly and attentive. Owner stopped by our table to check in, which felt personal. Nice spot if you're in the area.

The grilled seafood was seriously fresh — perfectly charred and full of flavor. Cozy spot, though service took a bit. Would come back for that fish alone.

Tastes just like Five Guys back in the States. Burger was fresh and simple, exactly what I wanted. Staff were friendly and quick. My go-to spot for a proper American burger here.

Came for the beer tasting, ended up staying way longer than planned. Terrace is nice when it's not too windy. Staff were chill and friendly.

Nice spot right by the river, plenty of outdoor seating. Just stopped for a drink and it was fine. Didn't eat, but the food looked decent. Prices seemed fair for the location.

The poutine was solid — fries crispy, gravy good though a bit salty. Mozzarella works fine instead of curds. Would come back for the burgers.

Nice quiet beer garden hidden in the courtyard. Food was solid and didn't cost too much. Staff friendly enough. Good spot if you're in Büderich and want somewhere chill.

Tandoori chicken was solid. Good char, decent spice. Menu's kinda weird with the Indian and Italian mix, but whatever works. Place was quiet for a Tuesday. Service fine, nothing special. Prices fair for what you get. Would eat here again if I'm in the area.

Great food and the place has a nice vibe. We ordered a few dishes, all came out tasty. Service was a bit slow but the staff stayed friendly. Would come back if in the area.

The desserts really stole the show here. Staff were on top of things too, especially with my friend's nut allergy. Plating was lovely, no complaints.

The food was solid again, same quality as last time. Sat outside by the Waal, which is always nice when the weather cooperates. Service was quick, maybe a bit too quick—felt a little rushed honestly. But the bitterballen were hot and crispy, and the beer came cold. Fine spot if you're in the area and don't want to overthink it.

The bitterballen were the real deal — crispy outside, molten inside. Had the saté too, peanut sauce had a proper kick. Place was busy but food came quick enough. Portion sizes are decent for the price. Would eat here again if I'm in the area.

The beef bowl had some pretty unusual toppings I wouldn’t normally pick, but it worked. Portion was decent for what you pay. Homemade lemonade was a nice touch too. Not mind-blowing, but I left full and didn’t feel ripped off. That’s enough for me to come back sometime.
