St. Mary's Stair Church - Gothic architecture into the combination of old and new address: Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Scale, C.so Mazzini, 97100 Ragusa Opening hours: 10:00-18:00 New and old combination St. Mary's Stair Church was destroyed by an earthquake. Fortunately, the local government did not give up on it. Instead, the St. Mary's Stair Church was rebuilt, and now I see the St. Mary's Stair Church retaining both the original Gothic gates and bell towers, and renovating other buildings, which can be described as a combination of old and new. The precious artifacts in the church I entered the St. Mary's Steps Church, which also has Renaissance arches, which are Gothic style, very unique and very attractive to my eye, and the most precious is the sculpture of the Virgin in the church. This sculpture was built in the 16th century and can be preserved intact until now is a miracle, I look at the sculpture carefully, its depiction is very exquisite, even the details are carefully designed, so that the whole sculpture exudes a sacred atmosphere. The beautiful scenery outside the church is outside the St. Mary's Stair Church itself, and there are great views outside it! I was sitting on the side of the ladder, and there were many foreign tourists besides me who would do this, everyone was quiet and only occasionally whispered. Here you can overlook the whole city scenery, the view is particularly wide, the high and low buildings and the mountains in the distance together constitute a harmonious picture, I think, painting a picture of this land is also great!
