额济纳旗天然胡杨林中，有一棵被誉为“神树”的胡杨树。这棵“神树”位于达来呼布镇北大约25公里处，这棵胡杨树高27米，主干直径2.07米，胸围6.5米，需6个人手拉手才能合抱，树冠挺大的，据科学家测定，这棵胡杨树树龄已达880年，是一棵名副其实的神树，围绕这棵神树，当地有不少美丽的神话。

额济纳北面有一棵大的胡杨树，耸立挺拔，枝叶繁茂。这树被赋予了神秘的色彩，远近的牧人都会虔诚地来到树前祈祷，便被冠吹神树称号。现为典型的景观，标志和形象，凡到额济纳观赏胡杨奇景的游客都要去神树一睹其壮观，奇秀的尊容。

神树位于额济纳北面25公里处，树身高27米，直径约4米，树龄巳达880年，堪称额济纳胡杨树之王。按照当地习俗，神树被赋于神秘的色彩，成了当地老百姓祭祀苍天神灵的附载物。要参观神树，须给门口坐着的老太十元钱，方可入内。
