Huangpumatou Site Review

The old site of Huangpu Wharf is located near the Qinhuangdao Pier on the Yangpu Riverside in Shanghai. It is said that it was originally a boarding place for students studying in France. It is now also a patriotic education base. You can also understand history outside of enjoying the river view.

The pier was formerly known as Shanghai's grease factory and 16 shops. The old-fashioned Shikumen group, the European-style terraces seem to tell the legend of the old beach tycoons. Now it shows a sea style: specialty bars, restaurants, leisure clubs, and individual shops. Huangpu Wharf is located on the east side of Qinhuangdao Road, formerly the beach. Around 26 years ago, Guangxu, Japan's Nanmanzhou Railway Association purchased this beach to build a terminal warehouse.
