International Maritime Museum Review

Amazing museum with 9 floors. You can see a lot of exhibitions about navy and ships. A lot pf interesting ship models here and the last floor shows the collection of ship models which is so nice. The museum is bigger than I thought can take up to 4 hours to visit everything

 I enjoyed visiting here, learnt lots and appreciated the English translations on Exhibits. It felt very historically balanced. However, there are a lots of models and I didn’t feel quite as enthused, on leaving, as I did having visited the equivalent in Gothenburg. Gothenburg seemed to offer more human interest rather than just for your maritime geeks.

Hamburg, Germany is the international maritime museum, this museum has some local military history witness, if the boy comes, will be very interested, the exhibition hall inside flying big, if you go, you can take a day to see here

这个博物馆有十层楼（加大厅），有几层之间还夹着半层。我大概逛了三个小时，到最后也是走马观花的节奏了。这个PDF()里是中文介绍，包括了每一层展品的主题。个人的建议是，如果对历史特别感兴趣，一定要从下往上走，这样比较不会被弄晕。我是从上往下走的（单纯出于下楼比上楼轻松的原因==），到最下面几层的时候一个是没时间了，另一个是感觉时间顺序跳来跳去的就懒得细看了。不过，不管从上往下还是从下往上，都一定要看第九层。那一层大概有上千艘船模，还有用船模摆出来的海战战局。相对的，第八层可以快速地过一遍，因为那一层基本都是关于海洋和船只的画作，感觉有点大同小异。当然，有时间的话就漫漫看咯。

规模超大的海事博物馆，连展品也有超大型的，让人大开眼界。这里也是汉堡斥巨资改造的仓库城，船只模型之丰富，航海相关创作之多，可以充分了解人类的航海史。
