This lovely restaurant is located in a cute passage full of bars and restaurants. It has a very local feel and is not touristic at all, although everyone speaks English. The food is great and at a good value and the staff are all super helpful. Highly recommended!

    5/5Outstanding

Since my high school days I constantly visit Kadir's restaurant and enjoy whatever they offer in the menu or not. I wad on a business trip and decided to stroll around Beyoglu and visit there, like visiting an old friend. We had some meze, and also asked them to buy Kalkan fish to us, which they did and prepared well. Everything we have eaten were fresh and delicious. To our surprise a duo of violin and ud, made the night more pleasant, where they played fasil or Turkish Classical Music. If you are there, spend a long dinner there to enjoy the food, and the scene of passerbyes.

    4/5Excellent

Good food, fresh beer, lovely crowded atmosphere. A nice place to visit, just like all the restaurants in the area! I will return!

    1/5Terrible

New to Istanbul we were excited to explore the food and find something good to eat, we found a street full of bars and the waiters did their best to entice us in. We settled on this one. We were lured in with the promise of free tea and fruit. It started off well, they poured water and delivered bread, more and more bread. I did begin to wonder if the bread was just to fill us up instead of actual food. The food itself was average, not good not bad. But we were full on bread. We had a pleasant enough evening until the bill arrived. They had added 10% service charge that we refused to pay. What followed was a dramatic surprise, The Turkish speaker amongst took charge, much to the disappointment of the waiter who just wanted to scam foreign tourists. A macho exchange, complete with much back slapping and sinister smiles took place, then we were informed the service charge was for the napkins and water. And the bread he many many baskets of bread. Now the bread I can understand but bathe napkins? If they are that hard up we'd have bought them a pack from poundland. We did wonder if we could at least take the napkins. We had no choice but to pay. We were then told we weren't allowed back. Not just to the restaurant but the whole street. Now, as I can remember which street it is I am now gripped with fear everytime I walk down a street with restaurants incase he starts chasing me down the street waving napkins and toothpicks. Oh. And we never got the tea.
