You can visit a museum in any season, but a summer visit to the MCA offers the double benefit of refreshing indoor air-conditioning and a beautiful terraced sculpture garden with views of Lake Michigan.

The museum building is located in the heart of Chicago and in itself is a unique example of avant-garde architecture. Designed by the famous German architect Joseph Paul Kleichues, it combines classical proportions, laconic forms and the functional aesthetics of modernity, which made it possible to perfectly adapt it to the constantly evolving needs of the museum. The permanent exhibition of the museum includes more than a thousand exhibits of modern fine art: paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos and more. Here are the works of prominent representatives of pop art - Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns, kitsch devotee Jeff Koons, sculptor Alexander Calder, known for his intricate wire figures and kinetic "mobiles", as well as the famous master of staged photography Cindy Sherman, which allowed the Chicago Museum to take one step with the leading museums of the world. And since some installations may seem like "art not for everyone" to viewers accustomed to traditional culture, the curators of the exhibitions strive to help visitors understand the artistic context of all the works and complement them with explanatory texts and video materials. Thus, a visit to this museum in any case will be an unforgettable event even for people far from modern art.And you can complete an excursion into the world of avant-garde art with a walk through the sculpture garden, relax in a themed cafe or visit the theater hall, which regularly hosts performances or lectures. In addition, every first Friday of the month, the museum organizes cocktail parties where you can listen to performances by a jazz orchestra and chat with representatives of the art world.

What a wonderful museum. The care and detail is absolutely exquisite. The Ernest Hemingway birthplace museum is truly a snapshot of history. The tour was very informative and the stories we heard from our guide were fascinating and often delightful. There is a wonderful mix of artifacts on display throughout the house. love this museum art chicago

As a museum star, naturally set aside an afternoon to visit the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art. This art gallery was built in 1967 and is also one of the world's largest modern art galleries. The building is designed by the architect Josef Paul Kleihues, compared to the classical art exhibition. I prefer a creative modern art sense, and I feel that the theme design seems to be more close to the modern life and emotional rhythm. The stair design in the pavilion is really good, the hierarchical rotation design, the pure white stair elements, and the unlocking of the ins style. The museum has a total of about 2,700 post-war visual art works. At the beginning of its establishment, the museum mainly did exhibitions and collected contemporary art works after World War II. Then in 1991, it began to build the current unique design style venue, and opened it to the public in 1996. The exhibits of the entire pavilion are different from the densely arranged displays of other art galleries. There is a great white space between each exhibit. The design of the exhibits is constantly updated. Every time you come, you will unlock a different theme.

📍 The Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, located a mile away from the MCA Museum, also brought a big surprise. This AIC, one of the three major museums in the United States, is two different art galleries. The exhibitions of the contemporary art museum are more visual art works, and the spiral staircase in the northwest corner of the modern and bold building is also a big point. Standing downstairs, it looks like a flat boat, and every angle is beautiful. Their special exhibitions will also change the theme often. You can check the current exhibition theme on the official website. I like the PRISONER OF LOVE theme special exhibition at that time. Each exhibit has its own intention. And there are not many tourists coming on weekends. You can see it.

I won’t step on thunder at all, everyone can rest assured to be bold, and it’s basically the same as the description.
