Salk Institute for Biological Studies Review

The building is one of the masterpieces of renowned architect Louis Khan. The Salk Institute was founded in 1960 by MD Jonas Salk, who developed the first safe and effective polio vaccine. Solke chose the world-renowned architect Louis I. Kahn to design the research facilities, which he envisioned would contribute to the progress of mankind. I think it is reasonable to visit the institute. If so, if you love architecture or science (or both), it makes you proud of humanity.

Solk Institute is a famous landmark building in San Diego. It doesn't think this place is worth your brains. It's one of the target attractions of my trip. It's not disappointing. The whole tour was very happy.

I come here mainly to see architecture. As a master of light, Louis & Kang's proud works, the clear use of the collective form in this building is very classic. The rigorous treatment of symmetrical layout is applied to the atrium and the Axis Street, which strengthens the research theme of the universe's sense of natural life. As-cast-in-place concrete buildings with distant seawater create a natural sense of uniformity between the sea and the sky. There is also a narrow man-made canal extending into the Pacific Ocean.
