Shiwei Town, located in the northernmost part of Inner Mongolia, is a small town on the border between China and Russia, and is one of the few Russian ethnic townships in China. The Shiwei Russian ethnic township is the birthplace of Mongolian ethnic groups, located in the city of Erguna, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, mainly composed of the birthplace of Shiwei Mongolian ethnic groups and the area of Enhe Russian ethnic village, which is one of the northernmost townships (towns) in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The town now houses more than 1,800 people, of whom 63% are of Chinese and Russian descent. It now has more than 10 sites of large and small cities, with deeper historical and cultural connotations and heritages including Mongolian root-seeking, worship, sightseeing, and inspection, and has won the title of "2005.CCTV Ten Most Charming Towns in the Country".
