帕蒙空寺是位于大城古城的中央位置，帕司山碧佛寺的对面，从马哈泰寺过去其实开摩托车只需要十分钟的距离。在这座寺庙里面有全泰国最大的一尊青铜铸佛像，最初被供奉在故宫的东部，后来宋当王下令把他转移到了西边，就是它现在的供奉地，原本是被藏经阁包围，不过在大城时代的第二个秋天，这个寺庙和佛像被大火严重毁坏，所以现在看到的是重建后的建筑，保护区东北方的开放区域曾经是皇家葬礼的举办地。(现在的皇家葬礼仪式是在曼谷皇家田广场举行的。)【外建筑】原本包围大佛的是藏经阁，不过因为是木做的建筑，在大火之后就基本上是坍塌了的状态，后来这座大佛就一直都荒废着，直到前几年才重新修建外建筑，所以现在这个寺庙有一种现象就是新的寺庙，旧的佛像，还是可以从里面的图片记录上面看到它以前的模样。【佛像】走到寺庙的中间是需要脱鞋进入的，可以看到中央的一尊巨大的佛像，让人肃然起敬，这尊佛像是坐像，据说在这种佛像里面还有几百尊的小佛像。【门票及开放时间】这座寺庙是完全免费的，不用买门票就可以进入，开放时间大约是早上的八点多到下午的六点半，参观的时间大约是20分钟左右，在寺庙的外围有一些座位，如果走寺庙累了可以在这里休息一下。


