If you’re travelling First Class with LNER, you’ll have the choice of different menus for your complimentary meal, depending on the time of your journey.
On the LNER Breakfast menu, pick from delicious options like Frittata with posh baked beans or a variety of wraps and brioche rolls, including Coronation chickpea wrap. A full selection of hot drinks, including coffee, breakfast tea, and speciality tea, is also available.
If you’re looking for fuller, more satisfying dishes, there’s an LNER First Class menu for that too! Try a curry, a mezze platter or a creamy pearl barley mushroom risotto on the LNER Dish Menu, which can all be washed down with a selection of soft or alcoholic drinks.
For a full feast fit for royalty, the LNER Dine Menu has the widest selection of meals to enjoy. A Full LNER (or Full Veggie LNER) Brunch is the perfect way to enjoy a big breakfast on your journey!
Order food to your seat with LNER
Do you want to enjoy some food or drink on an LNER train without the hassle of walking over to the cafe-bar? Well, you’re in luck: the full LNER dish menu can come to you at your seat!
- With ‘Let’s Eat At My Seat’, all you need to do is:
- Scan the QR code on the back of the seat in front of you
- Input your coach and seat number
- Browse the menu and choose what you want to order
- Make your payment...
- … then sit back and wait for your order to arrive!
This service should be available on all LNER trains, though it may be unavailable if a train is short-staffed or has limited stock. You’ll need to order at least 15 minutes before the train arrives at the final destination, and LNER advises that it will always aim to deliver food within 20 minutes.
‘Let’s Eat At My Seat’ is for passengers in Standard Class only, as those with a First Class ticket will receive a complimentary menu.
What local suppliers does LNER work with?
As well as offering tasty food for its passengers to enjoy, LNER is committed to supporting small businesses and local suppliers along its routes. To achieve this goal, the operator has chosen a variety of independent and artisan eateries and distillers to supply many of its products.
On LNER trains or in LNER stations, you’ll find local, community-supporting retailers under the LNER Love Local logo.
From On a Roll (based in Middlesbrough), transforming the humble sandwich with the freshest ingredients, to Lottie Shaw (based in Leeds), providing indulgent treats, LNER spotlights local suppliers on all their services.
For quality drinks in stations, LNER does not disappoint either. Try the York Tap’s extensive range of cask ales and craft beers, visit the characterful Draughtsman Alehouse if you find yourself in Doncaster, and don’t miss Wobbly Aleways (Newcastle), a one-stop shop for quirky alcoholic beverages.
Other local businesses whose products LNER spotlights on trains include Pip Organic, a London-based pure organic juice company, and the award-winning biscuits of Reid's of Caithness.
When you order from the LNER menu, there is so much deliciousness to enjoy… and even better, you’ll be supporting local businesses too. See here for a full list of local providers on the LNER menu.
