  • Can I get a discount with my Railcard?

    Yes. You can get up to 1/3 off.
  • What's the difference between 16-25 and 26-30 Railcards?

    There's not much difference. They offer the same discount. 16-25 Railcards are generally used for student travel, while 26-30 Railcards are used for workers. In addition,the railcard for those over 25 will not include discounts for Caledonian Sleeper tickets.
  • Can you get a Railcard if you're a mature student?

    Yes. The 16-25 Railcards is valid for a mature student.
  • Is it better to buy a digital Railcard or a physical Railcard?

    Using a digital Railcard is recommended. Digital Railcards can be stored on the Trip.com app on your smartphone, which means that you don't need to carry a plastic card. Digital Railcards can be stored on up to two devices and do not need to be mailed like physical Railcards - making them more convenient to use.
  • What happens if I lose my device?

    If you lose your device, you can simply download your digital Railcard onto a new one.
  • Which Railcard provides the biggest discount?

    16-17 Saver Railcard. It gives young adults aged 16 and 17 a 50% discount off most UK rail fares.
  • Do students get Railcard discounts?

    Yes. They can use 16-17 Savers to enjoy 50% off and use 16-25 Railcards to get a 1/3 discount.
  • How much cheaper will my train fare be with a Railcard?

    You can get 1/3 off your train tickets using a Railcard. Whether you're a child, an adult, or a senior, there's a Railcard for everyone.
  • Can I get a refund if I don't use my digital Railcard?

    No. Unfortunately, Railcards are non-refundable once issued.
  • Why has my Railcard been blocked?

    If we detect suspicious activity on your Railcard, it will be blocked until we have had the chance to speak to you.

    During this period, your Railcard will no longer be valid for travel.

    If your Railcard has been blocked, you will need to contact us so that we can better understand the activity that has caused your Railcard to be blocked.
